Leaving a long, in depth review for The Stanley Parable I feel directly goes against its themes. So, to put it simply, this game is good. Play it!

In Stars And Time completely blew all of my expectations out of the water in the best way possible.
As a fanatic of time loop games myself, I was absolutely astounded by the unique approach this one took for it- Wish Craft, especially, was a BEAUTIFULLY crafted narrative twist that really set the stage for Siffrin's growth. But I'm getting ahead of myself talking more generally, In Stars And Time is unique. Completely in black and white (aside from... a few exceptions :3), the game still manages to have a world more vibrant and even colorful, in its own way, than many a major studio game. The art style, the music, and the narrative all blend together so seamlessly, it's clear the developer had a vision and rolled with it. It's all crafted in such a way that they come together to make ONE piece of art, not just multiple individual masterpieces- I can say with full certainty that this game as a whole is art. Alongside Slay The Princess in the Monochromatic Time Loops bundle, I can say for certain that this is my favorite game. If you like time loops, adventurg and attachment issues- buy ISAT!
[LS note: The queer representation in this game is phenomenal as well. It performs casual inclusion super well- not having characters be queer just for the sake of having queer characters, but rather, having their queerness be a part of who they are- significant, yes, but not everything. It works in tandem with the rest of that character's arc VERY well (yes I am thinking of Mirabelle, you caught me). Just overall phenomenal. Want more lesbians though!]

Slay The Princess is hands down the best game I have ever played. A bold claim, I know, and I am often prone to having very “brief” favorites, but I know for a FACT that this game is going to remain at the top of my list for a very, very long time. This game is a love story, as it tells us very blatantly in the beginning. Love between the Princess and you, the Shifting Mound and the Long Quiet, and love between Death and Life itself. This game’s narrative is beautifully woven together, and it poses philosophical challenges that are incredibly fun to ponder. Each route, each Princess, each Voice has a unique life to it that really draws meaning from the text out, accompanied PHENOMENALLY by the voice work of Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight. The multitude of characters they play are all distinct, and it’s incredibly impressive how much they contributed to the narrative. It wouldn’t be the same without them.


Due to the structure of how the narrative works, theoretically infinite content can come from this game. The only limitations come from the developer’s imaginations, time, and resources. Akin to Doctor Who, all of time and space is at their disposal. I can’t wait to play the Pristine Cut and 100% the game all over again. I know I’ll continue to experience this game, even if I’ve already seen all of the content.

Overall, I definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good narrative. As far as visual novels go, I firmly believe it is the best in its genre, and that nothing will top this for me in a long while. 11/10, PLEASE buy this game.

Sakuya Izayoi Gives You Advice And Dabs is a masterclass work of video game literature. Though there were a total of three characters in the whole game, they all manages to touch my heartstrings in a certain way that most AAA games could never. I have played OMORI. I have played Celeste. I once thought I had seen it all, that every emotional experience was already mine, but when I recieved Sakuya Izayoi Gives You Advice And Dabs, I changed. I metamorphosised into a new being. The level of labyrinth-esque emotional journey I embarked upon when playing truly changed me. I was in a dark time of my life when I played Sakuya Izayoi Gives You Advice And Dabs, but when I came out of my 55 minutes of gameplay, I left enlightened. Akin to the Buddha, I achieved inner peace and am now certain my soul is meant for nirvana. Sakuya Nirvana. Thank you, thank you, thank you for curing me of the mortal ailment that is the lack of Sakuya Izayoi Giving Me Advice And Dabbing. You truly have changed my world. Godspeed.

While my playtime for Dead By Daylight may be deceiving, I absolutely cannot recommend the game for someone who hasn't played it already. Personally, I love it, and normally I'll try to defend a lot of its criticisms (within reason), but when reviewing it, I feel I must put personal bias aside. Yes, I find Dead By Daylight fun. Yes, I'm going to play it more- but being a new player was, full transparency, hell. If you just enjoy the gameplay loop as much as I do and are willing to either power or buy your way through that, then by all means: Buy the game. But for the casual slasher fan, looking to pick up a new title, I would advise caution. There's so much content to purchase, so much technical stuff to learn before the community will "accept" you as one of their own, and even then it's just a constant war of "Killer sided!!!" Or "Survivor sided!!!". If you want to get into the game, but don't want to buy it yourself, I'd encourage watching someone play it- I highly recommend people like Otzdarva or Ayrun who do a good job of both explaining the technical aspects of the game, and making it fun. Overall, this game is a huge investment and is genuinely not worth your time unless you are absolutely obsessed with the gameplay look like I am.
