I wish I could offer Wayne my boiled peanuts as an act of affection.

I admit that at first I wasn't sure what to expect because I've seen several negative opinions on this chapter (such as it being "weak", etc) but I ended up getting so invested! The first half was a bit meh to me, mostly because Keiichi's behaviour annoyed me but once a certain, intense scene came up where he had like a complete mind-switch, I got so addicted to the story. All events got VERY suspenseful, there were moments where my heart kept racing and I was actually anxious to continue the text. After that the story just kept getting more twisted and weird until the ending (which I loved too).

The beginning of the story may have the familiar "structure" and atmosphere but the rest of the chapter felt very different from the previous ones, which I found to be refreshing. I really don't want to spoil but once the festival comes near the story will start progressing in a new way which I enjoyed A LOT. I don't even want to compare the chapters because (for example in comparison to the 2nd chapter) the type of horror is quite different, if it makes sense. So far all chapters have had me captivated and feeling tensed up at some points but the novels managed to do so in different ways each time.

There are a bunch of things I could mention that I loved about this chapter but it's nearly impossible to do without spoilers, so I guess that's all.
Can't wait to finally have time for the next chapter!

The story is about horrifying events set in an already horrible world, so no matter what you do, there's solely despair.

This game feels like a demo for a gutwrenching, traumatizing and amazing game that would haunt you for weeks after playing, I truly wish it was a bigger project since I can't get enough lol.

I would definitely pay if someday this game had a makeover with an extended story, more revealed information, full voice-acting, fixation of small mistakes, etc. Because to me there are so many amazing elements, such as the overall aesthetic/ atmosphere, the world where the story takes place, the creepy moments, that feeling of despair transmitted to the player, the psychological and philosophical aspects... It really left me with this empty feeling after playing for the first time.

I've seen some people complain about the confusing character design-style but that actually is an interesting detail to me, since I quite like the visual difference between "normal" people and the "chosen ones", adds a nice touch in my opinion.

Another thing I'd like to mention is the great voice acting, every dialogue felt realistic and the voice actors managed to perfectly capture the characters' personalities yet not making it sound "forced" (which is normally a common issue I've stumbled across), so it's surely admirable.

To me the only con is the lack of revealed information but it's still totally acceptable since it's a free game and it sort of leaves room to make your own theories, otherwise I can totally recommend this for those who enjoy disturbing, disgusting, depressing visual novels with significant choices.

Pros: Rika, fun story (kinda gutwrenching at times), Rika, atmospheric, cool characters (Rika), helps to acknowledge your lacking English competences, Rika, you can't fix her since SHE's the one fixing you.

Cons: words often too hard :(
