I purchased this game hoping for a lighthearted, doesn't take itself seriously, plat-former - and that's what I got. It does bring back nostalgia. The best way to describe it is I can picture myself as a kid playing this on the PS2. It would be easy for me to believe this was originally a PS2 gem that got remastered...and I mean that in the best possible way.

As you explore the game you unlock new worlds and abilities. As others have stated it doesn't do anything brand new and instead feels like a love letter to all the other platformers which have paved the way.

The plot line is straight forward but I honestly didn't care for it much. I found myself skipping dialogue as I just wanted to run around and platform more. A lot characters you meet on your journey return in each world. They say it's nice to see familiar faces...but some become very annoying, VERY quick. Luckily you can button mash through the dialogue for the most part.

I recommend to those looking for something nostalgic, but also new.

An overall good horror game which I would say is worth the price I paid on promo (£2.89). The game mechanics are simple walk/run/interact. It's interesting playing from the perspective of the child in a pretty violent setting. Although no self-save feature, I didn't find this to be an issue. For example, I died seconds after collecting an item and when it reset me I still had the item I collected.

The story is okay, it was interesting enough to keep me playing and comes with some quirky characters you get to meet along the way. Recommend to players looking for a casual, short indie horror experience.
