Love this game. It's the only one I have for Steam actually - I've fallen down the MMO hole before and this is a nice RTS inspired RPG sandbox. There are a lot of things I hope they're improving for the sequel. Many of the systems seem well executed but ultimately need fine tuning and further exploration. What I would hope for, but is not coming, is an alteration of the Ogre Engine to update the reliance on a single processor (which I think was what it was doing) to multiple processors so that everything would run like a modern game. The only things to be desired are the before mentioned expansion of features and a graphics upgrade for sure - is that a bandit in the distance? Sure looks like a speck of pixels dancing in the distance... haha. Kenshi is my favorite - actually it's the type of game I've imagined could exist, as far back as my first time playing Starcraft as a kid. I think the way forward is to turn Kenshi's world and game experience into a Elder Scrolls type of game, in the sense of depth, graphics, interaction, lore and freedom - without losing the RTS controls. I also wish for a Kenshi experience that incorporates online play, but maybe only local online gameplay with friends. I don't think Kenshi should have a heavy RTS competition mode, but it would be an interesting thing to experiment with. RTS was more or less a sport in the past - I think the RPG approach is better - however the things that Kenshi may lack is the feeling of being truly threatened by a thinking, strategizing opponent, whether that be another person or a machine. I could nitpick on all sorts of details of the gameplay/systems/features right now, but the game is amazing for something a single human being has developed on their own from an indie perspective. With mods this game is easily a 10/10.
