How do I close this game it's been a whole day

Nah jk but seriously why is this game so good

1,000 hours in?
It's a good game.
After you've played it once or twice, though? Would heavily, HEAVILY recommend modding it if you plan to play again.
It's literally as simple as pressing Subscribe on the mod, closing Starbound, and re-opening it.

If your PC specs aren't too high tho, i'd recommend skipping over Frackin Universe.

But oh my goodness it did NOT like my previous PC

Starbound in itself is terribly optimized (due to some BIOS settings or so I've heard) and honestly a game you probably need a gamer level PC to constantly play. Mine is one I would consider a gamer PC but I didn't build it myself so it's probably not TOO high end... but it's not a laptop struggling not to take off into space using it's internal fans lol

It's fun and I'm getting my money's worth...
But yeah, no future updates from the creators, almost necessary mods in order to have fun after the first playthrough, and a community who will almost never play multiplayer means that you're going to get bored quickly unless you have the level of patience I have.

You'll probably play it for 100 hours and get bored. I, on the other hand, plan to install every mod in existence (/jk) apparently because I keep grabbing more and more as they release lol.

Also the Evertournivac mod or whatever it's called is really fun. Would recommend it for playthrough 2+

Speedran it in 13 hours and it was very fun. I'm only saying 13 because that's my current Play Time. I think I actually did it in 10.

I'm honestly going to play it again to try and 100% it, I only got like... 93% of the strawberries and I got stuck on a B side for at least 3 hours. I'm sad I don't have Farewell but hey, switch stuff is switch stuff, right Omori?

TL;DR:
Absolutely worth the $20


This game is absolutely amazing. It's a perfect balance between horror and wholesomeness, and in fact, most of the horror can be appointed to story rather than just straight up horror. If you hate jumpscares, DONT WORRY! The ones in this game are SO much better. They're silent. They're... natural. The worst one is during the spiders, but it's honestly not that bad and pretty short. As for the wholesomeness, IT'S AMAZING. I've been wanting a game with lots of wholesomeness and yet actual action and this game balances THOSE as well. I could go on a MUCH longer tangent about this game, but if you're just reading through these, I can just let you go on to the next one. I do reccommend this game. Absolutely.
