Blood and wine, man what a great expansion, just like hearts of stone I still don't think it is as good as the main quest but it comes close and the fact that it is nearly as good as the main story alone is amazing. I wish other game expansions were like this, kept some old characters and introduced a ton of new ones, and I mean a ton. Toussaint is beautiful and lively with a bunch of new content for one to enjoy. The story is amazing and follows this sort of murder mystery detective style of story telling which I love. I still think that in terms of story and replay ability, hearts of stone still takes the cake for me personally but that doesn't mean that this expansion doesn't have replay ability. Everyone who enjoyed the main game should get this. Regis, Anna, and a few other characters I don't want to name for spoiler reasons are all great additions to the witcher 3 character roster and I would love to play it again.

10/10 Toussaint is beautiful

ALL SPOILERS ARE BLURRED OUT

God of war 2018 is easily my favourite playstation exclusive, (not an exclusive anymore), And before I get into the good stuff, I have to get a few nitpicks and gripes I have with the game out of the way, My first issue is that the boss fights are mostly extermely uninspired and all play and feel the same, I mean there are at least 10 bosses that carry that big rectangle brick around and all of them die with the game animation, Kratos launching the brick into the air and dropping it on them, I even let out an audible groan one time when I saw another one of those enemies, another issue I have is that the enemy variety is extrememly boring and at times can make the incredible combat not as enjoyable, You would think playing as a god in norse mythology would grant you some enjoyable enemies to fight, and while there are some cool ones, for the most part you are stuck fighting draugr's, elfs, nightmares, trolls, and the occasional revenant. Though, looking at the god of war ragnarok trailer, it seems like they are improving on this aspect greatly, and my final complaint with the game is the skill tree, Don't worry im not talking about the actual progression system and the abilities you get from the skill tree are awesome and amplify the combat to great extent, my problem is, with the difference in unlocks for both weapons, or rather lack of difference. Some of the unlocks for the axe and blades work and function practically the same, "when evading press L1 to do a quick attack with your weapon" A lot of them work the exact same way and at times you may feel that the 2 weapons are very similar in terms of unlocks and abilities, but thankfully in terms of standard attacks they feel and play completely different.

But now that I have gotten the bad stuff out of the way, lets get into why I think this game is almost perfect. Firstly, the story. The story I believe actually IS perfect, every single character and plot point is set up for a reason and all have a satisfying payoff. Even a small side character like Brok or Sindri, all are interesting and have well written dynamics with Kratos and the other people in the world. And one character I hear very little praise about is actually Atreus. People love talking about how incredible Kratos is, (and they aren't kidding) but Atreus really caught my eye in particular, The way his character develops and changes throughout the story is really well done, he goes from a little kid trying to learn the basics of survival, to an egotistical "god" who thinks he is better than everyone, to someone who realises his mistakes and learns to accept that he isn't perfect and the closer you get to the ending the stronger Kratos's relationship with his son starts to grow. Speaking of Kratos, a damn near perfect protagonist, he starts the game out a secretive and quiet father, to being more open with his son about his past and who is is and was. And the game illustates this with perfection. Slowly you see Kratos become more open and caring towards his son as the game continues.

But enough about the characters, the plot itself is really well written and goes on a lot of twists and turns that I didn't expect despite most of the game being spoiled for me. To me this game feels like one big spectacle, you do all kinds of crazy things in this word that blew my mind, like going inside the world serpent to find mimir's other eye, fighting Baldur while Freya controlls a huge giant to try and stop you, fighting the dragon in the mountains and so much more. I have no complains with the story at all. But now the combat. Oh the combat, apart from a few small issues that I already mentioned, this combat system is one of the best I have ever seen, focusing on combos, parrying, and dodging. You will really start to care about upgrading your armor, weapons, gear to fit your playstyle. Both weapons are incredibly satisfying and work really well, and the way each new weapon and tool is used in the gameplay with all kinds of puzzles and unlocks, Is really well done. The graphics look great, the soundtrack is incredible, and apart from a few small issues I have with the game, this will go down in my list for best games of all time

One of the best action adventure games ever and one of my favourite games. The combat system here is incredibly fleshed out and refined. Every fight is a blast and requires skill, reaction time, attack pattern memorisation, and persistence. I have never felt so rewarded once I finally beat the final boss after 5 hours of attempts. Is it challenging? Absolutely, but as they say "The harsher the desert, the more satisfying the oasis". Without the difficulty, this game wouldn't be nearly as fun or rewarding as it is, and I am so glad I chose to pick it up and play it.

A huge difference you may notice with this game and other fromsoft games, are that there is a much more easy to understand storyline. (No spoilers) In a lot of the souls games, the story is hard to understand and is told through side quests, lines of optional dialogue, and the odd cutscene. But here, it is much easier to understand, you still get the hidden lore within the optional dialogues but here there are more cutscenes, characters with motivations, structure, plot, a beginning, middle, and end. All important aspects in story telling. Is it the best story you'll ever play? No, but it is a great story and I didn't expect it to be this good (ending was really satisfying aswell).

Also another thing that I didn't expect was exploration to be this fun. I'm not a big guy on exploration and I only really do it when its a world that I truly want to find out more about. And that is how I felt during the course of the game. Each level is really well thought out and memorable (especially fountainhead palace). And another major improvement in the exploration aspect, is the level design. In the older souls games, I would constantly be looking up walkthroughs to figure out where to go next, but here, that isn't present, thanks to the great fast travel system, well placed checkpoints, and easy to navigate levels. Before, it would take you 10-15 minutes to figure out where to go next, which creates needless challenge, and at that point, you aren't testing the player's skill. You are testing their patience. Now you can start worrying about encounters, rather than running to the encounters.

And speaking of encounters (boss fights or otherwise) they are a lot of fun, fighting multiple enemies at once is a serious challenge and requires a lot of skill. And the boss fights are easily the best I have ever seen in a game before. Their movesets are fun to memorise, learning the deflect patterns is incredibly satisfying and every boss is unique and fun to fight in their own way. My one gripe with the game is the camera, I constantly would walk near a wall and the camera would get all zoomed in and I would get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over multiple times, sometimes it would unlock on a locked on enemy, sometimes it would face a different direction and it would create for a lot of frustration, although it doesn't happen too often so you should be fine. Wrapping up, if you like action adventure games, or deep fun to learn combat systems and mechanics, this should be one of the first on your list.

When I originally played Cyberpunk a few months ago I wasn't the biggest fan. I thought the story was bland, average gameplay, and the overall jank the game has dragged it down for me. However, I did enjoy the world, characters, and RPG elements. And after coming back to Cyberpunk, I have changed my mind about this game. The story is great, the gameplay is incredibly fun, and yes, the game is still janky as hell. It can be a bit jarring at first but after a few hours in the game and with the help of a few mods, you'll soon get used to it and it will barely affect your experience later down the line. The world is phenomenal, I love the art style, world building, and activities in the world. However I do think the world lacks interactivity. Cyberpunk, unlike The Witcher 3 is missing a minigame. And as a huge fan of minigames in RPG's, this was a huge bummer as it doesn't only give the player more to do in the world, it can also help build the world and give it more personaility. Now i'm not saying the world doesn't have any personality. Far from it in fact. But it would help to introduce a form of board game like cards, dice, etc. But apart from that I think the world is almost flawless, I love everything about it. From the unique terms like "choom" or "gonk". To the layout of the city. It is so much fun to explore. All the activites in the world are a lot of fun to do and part of the reason they are so fun, is because of the gameplay. The gameplay I originally wasn't a fan of but I have changed my mind about it heavily. The guns feel really satisfying to use and considering this is CDPR's first fps game I think they absolutely nailed it. The quickhacking also adds a lot to the gameplay loop by encourging stealth and strategy into the combat. The skill tree is huge and also encourages different playstyles, I personally played more tacitcally and tried picking off enemies from a distance, but I also tried using the double jump upgrade with a shotgun and playing it like it was Doom. Both playstyles were viable and in general I think this game is pretty well balanced. There aren't many playstyles that stand out as too overpowered or too weak and the build variety is really strong. But now for the story, I personally love it. My biggest problem with the story are the choices, and how the mostly don't matter. The lifepath you pick is pretty much pointless apart from the first hour of the game, and a few unique dialogues. And while there are a ton of endings for the game, they are only decided in the last 2-3 hours of the game which I found really dissapointing. However the endings themselves are all really satisfying and wrap the game up nicely. But apart form the choices I think the story is actually really good. I love the premise and although at times the plot can be pretty confusing. If you stick with it long enough I think you'll really enjoy it. The voice acting and animations are also top notch. Probably even the best animated faces I've seen in a game. It's not as good as motion capture but it sure comes close. And the voice actors are killing it in their roles. V, Johnny, Judy, Panam, Evelyn, Jackie, and Takemura especially. The voice acting and animations really make the characters come alive and the great writing helps a lot too. But most people are worried about the bugs, and to be honest they aren't that bad. I think the biggest issue isn't really with the glitches but more the over janky-ness of the game. It's very rough around the edges and can be a little off putting at least at first. And while a lot of people complain about the driving I actually don't think it's that bad. There are also mods that improve it if it's really bothering you but after a few hours I got used to the driving and found it to actually be pretty decent. However my biggest problem with the driving are the cars themselves. More specifically the way you buy them. I HATE the system in place for buying cars. The way it works is, you get occasional messages from people that tell you they are selling a car, you don't get to pick which car it is, or even which colour it is. You just get messages showing you a car for sale and you can purchase only the cars you get in those messages. Why is there no dealership I can go to? It would not only be more immersive but way more convinient. As in game I can never choose which car I want and instead have to wait hours hoping I get a message for a car I like. It is frustrating to say the least. Also the cars have no customization at all. I can't change the colour or tune the car in the slightest. Another huge issue with the game is the AI. The AI is god awful and is one of the worst I've seen in a game period. They are incredibly inconsistant and will react to things they shouldn't react to, and not react to things they should react to. Its terrible and can ruin the immersion at times. And overall this game lacks a ton of systems that should be in place but aren't and it can be pretty off putting at first. One last thing I wanted to mention was the soundtrack. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love the soundtrack for this game. CDPR don't miss when it comes to their OST's and this is no exception. It really gives the game even more life and personaility. Wrapping up, despite the games problems, if you stick with it, give it a few hours and you just might fall in love with the world and story this game has to offer.

Never really hooked me like many others, imo at best its a decent game and at worst its quite boring. At its core its a good game with good mechanics but I don't find it that fun. This isn't really a problem of "too complicated" cause I took some time to learn the game's mechanics and built up a decent understanding of how the game plays, but just never found it that fun to actually play it. Learning the game never really felt rewarding or fun. Its not miserable or mind numbing by any means, its just really luke warm. But the game did have a lot of effort put into it and clearly took some time to make, and a lot of people find it fun, so go for it and try it, you will most likely find it more fun than I did. But if you dont like rts games, this wont win you over, in fact it might make you dislike them even more, but if you love rts games then this should easily be on your list

Subjective score: 5.5/10 Objective score: 7/10

Forza Horizon 5 Review

This is my first Forza Horizon game but after this I am sold, easily the best racing game I have ever played although I only ever really played gta, and 1 or 2 need for speed games, and this tops all of those games at least when it comes to the racing mechanics. Driving feels incredibly satisfying which makes sense because everything in this game is built off of the driving mechanics, if they didn’t work, all the other open world activities would be useless, so it's great that it feels satisfying and makes you want to continue playing to unlock more cars and credits. There is also a decent skill gap to improve at drifting and driving manual. Although I mostly dive auto, it's nice to have the option to switch in between the 2 modes from time to time. But the thing that really keeps me playing are the open world activities and the large variety of cars to unlock and resell. There is always something new to do that keeps you engaged, the map is larger than the other forza games yet in general could do with a slightly larger map. But the locations were pretty diverse, with a large open plain, sandy beach, large open city, a jungle and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ volcano. Another thing I love about this game is, it’s very completionist friendly, you can easily see what achievement or accolades you need next, it feels like this game really wants you to go out and do all the side content without having to look up tutorials on where to find the next billboard or road race, its all on the map and easy to pinpoint. But there is one major glaring flaw with this game, the launch for the pc is terrible. Around half of the players keep crashing at the start screen and I had this issue as well, luckily I was able to fix it but some other players didn’t have the same success. I trust it will be patched quickly but regardless it leaves a small stain on the game ever after it gets fixed. Its not horribly unfinished however, in fact I haven’t experienced a single bug apart from the crashing which I was able to fix. Another minor issue is a small lack of content, after about 30 hours I already have the best car in the game and have done most of what there is to do. Overall, this game is worth the AAA price tag and keeps me excited for new forza games in the future.

7.5/10

(P.S) to fix the crashing try validating the steam files for the game, if there are any missing install them and it should be good to go.

Red dead redemption 2 is a game about morals, character, and humanity, and this is shown by every single person in the story, everyone has their own beliefs ideas and thoughts, and you see this in game many times. I'm not one to cry at movies or games but this is as close as it gets. The dialogue is perfectly written as you listen to all of dutch's men speak about their lives and their views on the world around them, which is constantly changing and evolving. There is so much to see and do here and I can play this game for hours without noticing time pass by. Every character is written perfectly, Arthur, John, Charles, Dutch, Micah, Javier, Bill, Hosea, Lenny. Everyone is recognisable and is different from everyone else in their own way. The open world is expertly crafted and has so much to do, you should really stop and "smell the roses" if you want to properly take in and enjoy everything this game has to offer, this game was almost 10 years in development and it shows in every inch of the world. The soundtrack makes me cry everytime I listen to it. The gameplay is realistic and fun. The effort that went into this game is mind blowing. If you don't feel anything when playing this game you aren't human. I rarely give perfect scores but this one earns it, there will never be another game like this ever again.

Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Paul Allen's card. Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark...
