A pretty medicore game considering the amount of content put into it, I am going to recommend this game but not by a lot, it is fun with friends but that is about it. Content wise this game is very dry and is incredibly boring when playing solo or public lobbies, that being said the community can be very good at times and horrible at others, overall this game does have a decent community and you might have some fun in certain public matches but even then, just play it with your friends, if you are playing solo you might get 10-15 hours out of this game and after a few matches it doesn't really get that scary. If you are looking for a horror coop game, I would say this is probably the best one but there isn't much competition there. Pretty average game but can be fun at times

Im rewriting this review because I have felt really weird about this game for quite some time, when I first played and finished it I enjoyed it and thought it was a good game, but after I returned to it I don't know what changed but I am not so much of a fan of it anymore. It's still a good game but in my humble opinion, one of if not the most overrated game ever. I have heard endless praise about this game and I don't see it. "Greatest game of all time", "Best RPG ever made" all of it I believe is completely wrong. It is a good game, but its doesn't deserve half the praise it gets in my opinion. Firstly, the combat system is horrible, bethesda don't really seem to know how to make fun combat unless one of their sub studios are doing it. And it gets even worse in 3rd person mode. The story is average and nothing special however, I know, I know, no one buys skyrim for the story. They buy skyrim for the "freedom and exploration" the game offers. But, It's not the best i've seen, I mean its good, the character creation is nice and has a lot to offer, and the open world is great with a lot of memorable locations, it can get very very immersive but I don't think this is your best bet if you want freedom and exploration. Every good aspect about this game, there is at least 1 game that does it better. Don't get me wrong I still like this game and it has defiantly shaped RPGS as a whole, but it doesn't hold up at all, with its horrible glitches and bugs that despite countless re-releases, STILL HAVEN'T BEEN FIXED. All im saying is, this game WAS revolutionary, and maybe if I played it back in 2011 I would have loved it, but I don't, I think its a decent game that is incredibly overrated, but I didn't like Fallout New Vegas either so maybe im just not a fan of bethesda's style. And if that's the case, well I'll stick to playing their sub studios games (doom, wolfenstein, dishonored). Will you like this game? Most likely, I just needed to share some of my thoughts. Try the game, and see if you like it. You probably will.

Pretty decent game but doesn't have a lot to it, while some people might say "copy of amogus" Its more like a copy of trouble in t town but even then it still has originality in its design and gameplay, pretty fun to get on and play with friends from time to time. However I would like to see more variety in the content and gamemodes. The skill tree is a cool addition but feels very out of place but I like progression systems in games so I am not complaining. Overall decent game but leaves a lot to be desired

Easily the best AC game in my opinion, I love the large world, I love the setting, the story has so many fun twists and turns and is a blast to play through. The story (no spoilers) isn't the best written story ever, but it was so much fun to see plot twist after plot twist and there were moments in the story that blew my mind so much and I will never forget them. If you really start looking into the quality of the story, then it's not very good, but if you can just sit back and have fun, you will enjoy the main quest so much. The combat is also pretty good, very simple and easy especially in the late game but I enjoy using all the abilities at my disposal and combining them in combat. Although the enemies have way too much health and so you do, each fight takes quite long as all the enemies are damage sponges, I much preferred the system in Origins where the combat is quite similar, however it flowed better and each enemy died quicker along with yourself, although the late game in Origins was WAY too easy and Odyssey fixes that problem if only slightly. But the normal combat isn't all that there is, for the first time since Rogue we finally see the return of naval combat in AC, which was so much fun. I loved upgrading my ship, recruiting new members for it, and sailing the Greek seas to fight Spartans or Athenians. However the big seller for me is the world, I love the size of it, and although around half the world is water, the naval combat justifies that for me. I have so many fond memories of exploring it and uncovering certain parts of the map that were so cool to see in game, getting to fight some of the mythical beasts (which I won't name) was a blast. If I were to use 1 word to describe this game, it would be "spectacle", because it has just that, the feeling of journeying through the world and experiencing all that you experience in it is something I will never forget. It might be clear that i'm very passionate about this game and that is for good reason, I loved every second of it, so much that I ended up getting every achievement for it. However, this game does have a few issues. Like I mentioned the enemies take way too long to kill and can fell like a drag from time to time, some areas of the world do feel a little copied and pasted but it doesn't really detract from the world to me. And of course the obvious one, this game isn't really Assassin's Creed. Personally, I don't care, and I don't think you should either. I'm fine with a game that focuses on it's setting rather than the Assassin-Templar conflict we are used to seeing. Now don't get me wrong, I love the old games aswell but it's nice for once to get a little less Abstergo and a little more world and history. I know some people will be disappointed by the fact you don't get to fight templars and you don't play as an assassin. But it never really bothered me all that much and it gave the world more time to shine in my eyes. Wrapping up, Odyssey is a fantastic game and deserves your time and money. I wish I could play through it for the first time again. The world has this sense of magic to it that I don't see much in other games (Besides The Witcher 3, Rdr2, and maybe a few others). Give this game a shot, don't expect traditional AC, and you won't be dissapointed.

Actually really fun and is hated on too much. Some questionable map reworks, some mediocre new operators, and some slightly annoying loadout changes but ultimately really fun and addicting. Almost each operator is really well designed and fun to play, although there are a few really unbalanced ones. Most of the maps are pretty mediocre with only a handful of terrible ones, and only a handful of fantastic ones. Progression is extremely slow however and may turn some people off but I didn't mind it. Not a lot to say about this game, if the gameplay you've seen looks appealing, buy it. If you are on the fence or just don't really like other Ubisoft multiplayer games (For honor, The Division etc.) this game won't really change your mind)

Decent AC game but nothing special. Doesn't do much to step out of the bubble of the traditional ac format (unlike origins). Story is mediocre but serves its purpose in giving you a reason to beat up some Templars, and speaking of beating up Templars, the combat is serviceable and fun for the first few hours but gets pretty old, pretty quick. However stealth is great, many different ways to approach an encounter and has some decent AI as well. Parkour is good but isn't as relevant because of the grapple hook added to the game, which is fun but ultimately forces parkour to take the backseat. So if combat is decent, parkour is decent, and story is mediocre, what makes this game stand out? Well in my opinion, it's the world. The world has INCREDIBLE atmosphere and I rarely hear people talking about it. Seeing all the horse carriages and factories emitting large clouds of smoke into the sky is so well done. Patrolling London at night has a sense of unpredictability and can feel quite dangerous. If there is one thing I am a sucker for in games, its the atmosphere, it adds to the immersion greatly and being immersed in a world is the main reason why I play so much single player games (and why I love the witcher 3, rdr2, and the ac series so much). You may not share my passion for the world in this game, but you should defiantly give it a try because I think it's the most underrated world in an AC game. But apart from that, it's just more AC with a few tweaks here and there.

This is the best game of all time. The world is perfect, The story is fantastic, the soundtrack is the best I've ever heard in a game, the gameplay is fun and engaging, the quest design is the best i've seen in any game, I could go on.


If it isn't clear enough by now I love this game to death for many reasons. But my favourite part about the game is by far the world. The atmosphere is unlike anything I've ever felt before, hearing the soundtrack play as you walk through the woods as the wind is howling, is nothing shy of special. That is the main reason I keep returning to this game time and time again despite doing every achievement, and beating it 4 times. No matter how much I play the game, the magic of the world is always there and is enough to bring me back over and over and over. Each location is diverse and has it's own unique atmosphere to it, (Velen, Skellige, and my personal favourite Novigrad).


Some may call this game boring because of it's length or because of it's many side quests, but I disagree. Because these side quests have some of the best side stories I've ever played. From the quest with the Baron, to helping Triss flee the mages from Novigrad, to choosing a ruler for Skellige. All of it is perfect. None of the side stories felt like a roadblock or a distraction from the main story because it ADDS to the main story and really makes it feel like a journey.


But the main story is also nothing shy of incredible. Hunting down and finding Ciri is a journey like no other and once you finish the main game and get to look back across every character you have met along that journey, it's an incredible feeling.


Another thing I love about the game are the RPG systems and gameplay. Truth be told, this isn't the best combat system you will play, and these are also not the best RPG systems you will ever see. Does that mean they are bad? Absolutely not. I see a lot of hate for the combat and I personally love it, you can cheese a few encounters with certain signs and potions, but I love the "cat and mouse" style of combat with constant dodging and rolling. It not only pays justice to the combat described in the books, but also makes the gameplay side of things always fun because you are constantly thinking about your next move. You need to be on your feet at all times because you die in about 2-3 hits especially on the harder difficulty where you can straight up just get one shot. The RPG systems also really play into the gameplay. The customization is incredible and there are so many memorable and cool looking Armour sets to pick from. The skill tree is also pretty well done and allows a ton of cool builds to be made, especially if you own the "Blood and Wine" DLC that expands on the skill tree even more.


Now, for the most under appreciated part of the game, the soundtrack. I listen to the soundtrack probably every single day. I don't know what it is, maybe I just like medieval music. But this soundtrack is fantastic and every time I listen to the more atmospheric songs it always makes me want to start another playthrough. The band who play most of the songs from the game, "Percival", are a fantastic band and are worth listening to especially if you like medieval esque folk music. They nailed the vibe of the world and elevate it to another level.

I cannot express how much I love this game, however I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Because this game unfortunately isn't for everyone. If you love long RPGs with huge open worlds and a large focus on story and choice, then why the ♥♥♥♥ don't you already own this game? If those types of games aren't really your thing and you enjoy a lot more fast paced action or just prefer playing multiplayer games, this might not be for you. But I still think it may be worth trying at least, it just may become one of your favourites. And before giving it a score I will quickly go over a few minor flaws with the game. Firstly, the horse riding can be quite janky at times, I know it's common for RPGs to have janky horse riding and while this isn't the worst of the worst, it can get pretty frustrating at times. And truth be told I can't think of much more cons, (I sat here looking for cons for about 5-10 minutes and couldn't think of anything else).

Wrapping up, I am a die hard fan of this game and I think you should at least give it a try because you might just become a die hard fan like me.

Online is only fun with friends in a invite only lobby. Never go into a random public lobby unless you are looking for motivation to kill yourself. After 150hrs on pc and 720hrs on console I can safely say that you should only buy this game for its story and private lobbies. It is impossible to play public online without getting ass blasted by some 7.21KD warrior on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mk2, it is virtual torture. But if you don't want to play online then yeah by all means go ahead but don't expect to find a good online experience in this game. It isn't exactly the developers fault that online turned out this way, at its core the online is fun with an incentive to grind for new properties, businesses, cars, and more. Like I said if you are playing with friends in a private lobby setting up casino or cayo perico heists for money then you will have an amazing time with this game but in it's current state it's hard to recommend.

Classic coop game and one of the best coop games out there. Not much to say about this game other than it is very good but has quite a toxic community. Gameplay is pretty good and the cast of characters is very likeable however one main negative I can think of is that this game makes left 4 dead 1 obsolete. This game has everything l4d1 has and more, there is not reason to buy l4d1 over this but that doesn't make this game bad, it just makes l4d1 pointless.
