It's just addictive. It's good wholesome fun without the DEI which is ruining other franchises. Just wait for the appropriate Steam sales and load up. Yeah it can be a tad on the pricey side having to buy 1 thru 3, but worth it (on sale, of course).

Quite a few mods available to jazz up the graphics. Gameplay is fine and God knows there's tons of dlc's available for potentially hundreds or more hours of play.

And good times were had by all.

Good times. Nothing else matters.

So it cost me $4. Unlike most of the negative reviewers, I do not expect to get things for free. In terms of pennies per hour of play time, the TW series are some of the best buys in my library. No regrets. Are any of the games perfect and without issue ? No of course not. But what is ?

Say goodbye to the rest of your life. It's pretty addictive. Once I know what the heck I'm actually doing it'll get even worse I fear.

I can see myself spending Skyrim levels of time into this............. easily hundreds of hours. Amazing achievement.

Entirely new to the genre (I'm more of an Elden Ring/TW3 type of gamer) but the game is so laid back and just plain fun I was drawn in. Playing it on wussy difficulty because, being a newb, I barely have a clue what I'm doing in terms of combat. One thing is obvious though - it was crafted with love and care and it's very deep.

Play Valheim first. It'll prepare you for pain and suffering.

It really is not as hard as a lot of people make it out to be. Different than what I'm used to ? Yeah. But also engrossing, beautiful and ohhhhhh so interesting. Soooooo many ways to approach this game what with all of the skill trees and umpteen kazillion weapons and doodads with which to customize your play-style.

FWIW when I like a game I really really like a game. 1500+ Skyrim, 750 or so Kingdom Come Deliverance. Over 300 apiece on AC Odyssey, Valheim and Witcher 3. I can see myself plunking many hundreds of hours into this beast, not even including the upcoming dlc. Once I finally beat it (currently playing a pure INT mage), I already have big plans for two other toons.

Insanely addictive. Needs a graphic update imho, but there are mods for that. As for gameplay, I wouldn't change a thing. It combines the immersion and exploration of Kingdom Come Deliverance and Skyrim, but with the sadism of Elden Ring. The game does not hold your hand, and this world will do its damnedest to kill you.

EDIT : At 300 hours+ now. I think my wife left me at 200 hours or so, fed up at how much time I was plowing into it. This game is not conducive to a happy home life.
