One of the best rougelike deckbuilders on the market, definitely the most addicting of the ones I have played. Though it presents itself as poker, Balatro builds an entirely new game off of it that just continues to grow in depth the more you understand it. There are so many simple variables within each run that create such complexity together that you continue to find new strategies that you would would have never thought up of. Coupled with a simple but hypnotically beautiful presentation that absorbs your attention, Balatro is a game I think anyone could pick up and sink hours into. The only reason I don't play it more on Steam is because I'm too busy playing it everywhere I go on my phone.
