ED, resolve the situation between yourselves and Razbam. This ego crusade isn't doing anyone any favors.

Classic paradox game and fashion. There is a lot to learn, but the reward for climbing the learning curve is massive. I own every DLC for this game, and I cannot stress how important the core DLC are for making the game enjoyable, interesting, engaging, and replayable. The $40 price tag for the base game only lets you dip your toes in. Federations and Utopia are practically essential to give the game more flavor and intrigue besides war. I love this game, but you won't get an enjoyable experience with it for the $40 price tag on the base game. Either buy the DLC yourself, or have another person host a multi-player game.

Early Access Review
Just to get this out of the way: SpaceEngine is NOT a game. There isn't gameplay or achievements or rewards for completing tasks. SpaceEngine is a software that allows you to explore the entire observable Universe using real data and, when not available, procedural generation. If you're interested in astronomy, this software is pretty much a must have. The procedural generation for planets in this game is very detailed, so there's nothing stopping you from spending as much time as you like exploring every nook and cranny of a single planet, then bookmarking it for later to explore some more. One thing I read in another steam review and agree with is how clunky the UI is. Your first few hours will likely be spent getting comfortable with the UI before you can really begin enjoying the game. However, what this game lacks in intuitive design and short term gratification it more than makes up for in awe-inspiring visuals, astonishing scale, and the new perspective it grants you just for exploring the Universe that's already out there, waiting to be explored.

I have more than my registered 1.1 hours in this game. I probably have another 5 because steam was in offline mode when I was running it.

There's no pay-to-unlocks in this game either. The $25 sticker price gives you the full experience.

I greatly enjoyed my time playing this game. If you are a fan, this game is, hands down, for you. I got this game on sale, and it was worth the $12 I spent on it. If you want this game, wait for a sale. This game, in my opinion, is not worth $45. The islands are on the small side, the gameplay is somewhat repetitive, and once you beat the campaign, there isn't much to do aside from spending more money on a DLC. So I do recommend this game, but get it on sale. Don't pay full price.

This game is very enjoyable. It has a good story and challenges you with killer robots that actively change tactics based on your strategy. However I will say that a game with only nine levels, in my opinion, isn't worth $18 (got it on sale when it first launched). There just isn't enough content yet. I finished the game in 5 hours. I'm glad I got it on sale, but I still just can't say that the game was worth the amount of money I spent on it. Don't get me wrong, this game is a lot of fun and is very well made. I'm going to recommend this game because it is a lot of fun. It is challenging. If you're looking for a game that drops you in a battlefield and tasks you with managing resources, setting up turrets to defend yourself, and living to fight another day, this game is for you.

Despite the hype and bugs this game is still one of the best I've ever played.

Pretty well done. The game is very grindy and takes a lot of patience, but there is a lot of content in the game and the devs make sure that the community has the power to make things change and make sure the game keeps evolving.
