I will give you one (1) explanation of the game for free. You are mistaking "holding the bomb" with "having direct line of sight of the bomb". As my teammate was holding from A, I was just defensively watching alley/A main. The time was running very low for him to take the bomb and plant, and more importantly, I was low, within range of one shot kill from his AK, so very likely to lose the aim duel. If I'd had an Ak with 100 HP, likely I would've played a lot more aggressive and from a better angle. In this specific situation, I wasn't able to safely switch guns or get in a better position without him hearing or seeing me. Of course I should've hit with my AWP shot but that was already past the point you had trouble understanding. Hope this helps and GG
