I'm not one to write reviews, but this game is just a fat disappointment. Played when it came out, dropped it bc I got bored with the umbral tedium and every zone feeling like iron keep in ds2 lol. I heard they fixed some balancing and performance issues, so I just beat it on a new character. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is just a pile of wasted potential lol
Lame bosses more fit for an MMO with their boring ass mechanics; too many bosses where more than half your time fighting them is just dodging braindead mechanics while they're invulnerable
No weight to the combat. Even grand hammers feel like you're just swinging a wet noodle around. Partly due to janky animations but mostly the floaty movement (player and enemies slide 6ft with every swing, doesn't feel grounded).
Tedious umbral shenanigans. There's no thought behind it, it's always just go into Umbral, tug on the thing, and carry on. That's not interactive, just boring.
And SPOILER ALERT the final boss literally being reskinned Deacons of the Deep made me want to throw up
