i have absolutely 0 issues with this game in terms of story, gameplay, or quality but only because i cannot play the game for longer than 30 minutes without it crashing anymore. i knew about this problem only vaguely before buying it because of other negative reviews. I figured i would follow the discussion board fixes for it and be fine, but i was wrong. ive spent maybe 4 extra hours fixing the instant crashing, over and over again using various methods. i have run out of patience and drive and i only hope i can persuade someone thats looking to *casually* pick up dragon age (like i was) to simply skip this installment unless you're willing to put in some effort to get this game running. if you are confident you can get it running id at least recommend doing some research on what the issue is in depth before committing 30$ to it. it's really unfortunate because i was invested in the story :(

Edit: after writing this review i gave it one more try at fixing it, and i cant tell you which part worked because it honestly felt like hitting the tv until it stopped showing static, which is unfortunate but at this point im glad i can say that it was entirely worth it. Its a great game and i enjoyed it a lot, the quests were inviting and the characters were fantastic, i fell in love with it all. It's an older game so obviously its a little janky in places that wouldnt fly today but its amazing for the time period its from. It has more than enough charm for you to look past the dated mechanics and aesthetics. i did find myself saving a LOT out of fear it would crash, (it actually crashed during the epilogue, which made me laugh, it felt kind of fitting) but if you have some patience its not so bad. good luck with this amazing, beautiful, busted thing

Early Access Review
Im currently reaching the end of the first in game year, and honestly im super impressed by how polished and put together this game is, especially for being early access. ive played a few different farming sims, and this one definitely has its own unique charm that separates it from other games that have come out in the years since stardew valley released (i hate to bring it up but, its inevitable i think when youre playing a farming sim to compare it to the most popular one). the archeology and fishing minigames, remind me a lot of animal crossing, the art style and overall vibes remind me of pokemon and sailor moon, and the characters are super endearing, im really excited to know more about them and see how their personalities flesh out in future updates. the only downsides so far is there are a few bugs, which is expected (just to nitpick, because this game has so much charisma and love poured into it its hard to find anything wrong with it), and the fact that i will have to wait for updates to get more content to play. overall if you think you can be patient and dont mind that it is unfinished, and there are things that you just cant do yet, its totally worth it to pick it up while in early access.

incredibly fun, i was hesitant to buy the game, knowing its popularity a few years ago but after the release of the second one my interest peaked and i decided to buy and play it. it is a gorgeous game. i got stuck a few times with figuring out what to do as to be expected, but eventually got through it with no help from walkthroughs
