If you liked FEAR, you'll like this. It's basically the perfect game--I mean, just look at it.

System Shock 1 is an absolute classic of a game. Sonar Shock wears that influence on its sleeve. Sonar Shock is nothing like System Shock 1.

No strafing. No looking up and down. No leaning. You can't even see which weapon you have selected without switching to the weapon tab of your MFD, which, by the way, is not hotkeyed at all. In fact, basically nothing is hotkeyed: if you want to pause the game, you have to do that through one of the options in your MFD. Just how did we take so many steps back in controls from actual 90's games?

Some people compare System Shock 1 to a graphic calculator. If that's the case, then Sonar Shock is like trying to do calculus with a four function.

Last but not least, it runs like garbage.

I played too much IKARUGA(TM) and all i got was ELEVATED CORTISOL and EYE STRAIN

fantastic game

game has some great ideas but spikes to unplayably hard around the last third. first third or so is fantastic, but near the end the game begins to throw an unbelievable amount of enemies at you that you simply can't deal with.
