honestly, the game is fun, but the story really falls off in quality. the beginning sets up a really interesting story, with annies powers, what brandon is hiding, who the mysterious ghost is. but by the second half of the game, everything is either unresolve or is very disapointing. the characters ended up being very dull, jane is a terribly boring character, who is inserted into the story awkwardly. brandon is also a very bad antagonist, it feels like he was written for the sake of the twist without any actual thought. we are told that hes manipulative and abusive, but we never actually get to see any of these traits, hes only ever pleasent and helpful when we see him. his motives are never explained and it constantly feels like im being told to distrust him with no actual reason. i expected the game to give us the option to trust either brandon or kylee, with both routes telling us one side of a complicated story.

i like the game but the chase ai needs a rework. it actual nonsense and is way more difficult than anything else

the game is simply poorly designed. i never got past the first jump scare because i just refused to do the opening puzzle twice. the flashlight does not illuminate the environment properly, the maze like hallways give you no clue where to go, and the light puzzle is to far away from its hint. and even if the hint were in a better spot, its both misspelled and makes no sense, requiring you to simply brute force it, i can overlook the poor english in other areas, but things like that simply must be more clear to players. and even after that, the shadows do nothing to add to the ambiance, instead obscuring pathways. the game looks very nice, and likely could be very fun, but if this is what the rest of the game is built around, i just dont think it will be enough to justify how annoying it is to play.

fun little game, if you like fighting against controls, try it out
