This review comes as more of a letter to Thomas, the developer. As a big and sincere thank you. In an era where mainstream games have these fake deep stories without any real substance, you hit a home run, delivering a complex idea between the relationship between the developer and the player that I am assuming you pondered on for quite some time, with a fun and clever twist.
This game felt very personal, and so is my comment on it, because as an analytical bastard that I am, this is something that I myself had thought about, and deeply connects with me and my artistic and scientific career. And this is one heck of an artistic endeavor, that came from very simple questions (I assume), such as: "Should a game be able to be played?"
That being said, I feel like your references are very clear, and I can tell what sort of games you enjoy and inspire you to go further. And I can say that the adjective "inspirational" really fits the piece of art that you've presented us with. Thanks for sharing it, I definitely enjoy it and I hope to enjoy whatever you come up with. Keep being creative and I wish you nothing but the best.

it's so good I've played the demo for almost 100 hours, what else can you expect?

I played the first level of this game and it was a borefest. The combos can be memorized in the first 10 mins of playing, offering almost no variety to what is established. Dodging and chaining attacks together between enemies feels very clunky, having played quite a few hack and slash and action combo games, this feels very inferior.
I was at least expecting a dynasty warriors kinda feel, but the enemies just felt like sponged way too much, the attacks weren't flashy enough and I had very little to no reward for mixing things up.
Sorry guys, but if your first stage of the game is boring, I'm not gonna play any more of it.
