Extremally satysfying and very fair with balancing dlc content to the base game one. You still can get everything gameplay related and majority of skins with purely cosmetic DLCs if you want more

Previous state ; toxic over-pricing practices mixed with reused assets being sold as new mechanics for new races while the core of the game suffers has made the new additions to the title not worth buying untill the main game is fixed. Developpers focus on a dead campaign mode instead of putting more love into the main played one - immortal empires.

Not even mentioning CA openly THREATENING the playerbase in response to bad sales/reviews of latest dlc.

My original review was ; "not recommended".

Post last DLC state ; more older races from previous games got an pretty influencial upgrade up to the WH TW 3 standards, althou there is still some problems with power creep or dlc units/mechanics being much stronger than then ones left untouched. The updates still seem to be focused mainly for the new caracters/lords, and the old ones just get some reworked (already existing) mechanic or something made from what was already in game eq. cataclysm spells from the mirrors of madness mode. The vanilla game is better now (excluding some factions still needing much love and work - that are supposed to get it sooner or later), but some long term damage was done and a big bunch of great commiunity mods now are no longer being updated. And since CA tends to mess up their game scripts during updates - the modded game experience has been negatively affected, and patchfixes add more bugs than they fix.

So far I still cant recommend going for a full 3 game experience with all dlc's at the full price. But its worth it on big sale.
