An amazing classic. The game came out of nowhere and became a huge hit. I replayed it now and it has not aged. You expect a GTA clone, but this game gives so much more. The atmosphere is amazing and creates a true feeling of Hong Kong. The combat makes it satisfying to play: there is nothing better then breaking a dudes bone in combat. The story is also where the game shines. It all feels like a kung fu movie with Bruce Lee. Overall, it is definitely worth the price and do not hesitate to try it out !

TL;DR : It is definitely worth the price.
First of all, the singleplayer is amazing. The mechanics are really improved since the last game.The story might be a little less intersting then GTA IV, but it is still involving. The game has gone for more arcady type feel, but it still leaves some realisim elements. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are truly in LA. In conclusion you will not be dissapointed with singleplayer (it is GTA you know what you are getting).
Now about the online. First thing that might set you off is the obnoxiuos loading time. It can load from 15 to 30 minutes. After you load in the "fun" begins. It will require a lot of griding and time to get something. But if you are a grinder like me, you will love it. After all the grind (if you invest your money right) you feel the progress, unlike in other games. Respect the grind. The are some griefers, but after a few encounters you will learn how to deal with them. You can also make a lot of friends in this game. Car meets, heists and other activities can introduce you to a lot of people. To conclude: if you dont mind grinding it is an amazing experiance.
