This isn't a remaster. It's pretty much just a port. Literally no graphics settings. YOU CAN'T EVEN EDIT GRAPHICS IN THE .INI FILE EITHER! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! I never played it as a kid so I wanted to give it a chance but it just wasn't for me. But I will say the audio in this game.... is annoying? It's fine quality-wise just the most odd mix of sounds that at least mildly annoyed me after an hour

Edit: Since I knew I was gonna get a clown in my review. Ok so let me give you more of a review for this crappy game. So first, the noises are constant chewing from goats that you have to use as a light source but it legit just sounds like someone eating cereal and you hear it like half the time on top of other doors with baby faces that cry constantly whenever you're near until you feed them. THEN we get Steve Blum, the main voice actor. Yeah, I'm sure people love him being Spike and Wolverine and EVERY Russian dude in any game from this console era. He's good but way overused (he literally holds the world record for most VA roles in video games ffs) so him pretending to be Hispanic just doesn't really grow on me. How's that for more sound detail?

Second there really is no reason not to just emulate this with its quality. Yeah I'm the bad person who doesnt want to throw money but listen, if you have emulators already, just try it out like a demo on there then buy this. You'll barely notice a difference in quality anyway sadly. Anyway, yeah mid game of its time is a mid remaster of now.

I started playing this because I hated the 2nd one so much that I refunded it :3

Edit: I started playing the first game instead and ended up putting 4 hours into it lol. Just play that, it's much more fun and FREE


Do not get this unless it's massively updated. My first match was split with 3 Chinese players and one funny stoner dude from Cali so this lobby is already all over the place. I went ahead and played on medium settings at 72fps, stable-ish but had quite a few staggers. Movement feels like your thigh deep in a muddy swamp... and your character gets tired SO FAST. So movement is a SLOG in this game. Melee combat is bare bones. 3 smacks and they are down, sometimes more. Just hope you hit them first and have enough stamina to kill that one zombie. Overall theme and feel just... is incomplete. To the point of this feeling like a company needing to make money by the end of the year to look good to shareholders type of "just release it now and we'll update it later" but we have no promises that it will be that way. Basically, this really isnt what you're seeing from any trailer and you will not even with a space rig because even if you have a crew of people who so happen to have good ping, the unstable, duct-tape held game will bug out through the whole experience. Your time with this game very much depends if you love this company/can deal with constant jank until its maybe fixed

I wish it had a little more story and maybe the tower modes in BT2 but besides that it's been a fun time. I will say would be nice if the story what-if clear conditions were a bit more clear than what is given. I 100% the story, but I do agree a hint or an actual timer would be great to help the player fully explore all paths

Basically they saw what Capcom did with the RE remakes so Konami got their ♥♥♥♥ together. I've been really happy with it so far! Just some stuttering whenever entering some areas but besides that runs well on my oldish PC
