My older son (37) is an avid player of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. He spends a significant amount of time immersed in the game. While I understand his passion for the game, lately it seems to have consumed his conversations with the family. During a conversation, my younger daughter (6) was sharing an exciting experience from her day at school, and my son interrupted with, "Breached Sandy Hook like a pro, Freelo!" I felt that his constant use of game jargon was starting to overshadow genuine family interactions. I expressed my concern, explaining that he needed to communicate with us in a more relatable way.In response, he raised an eyebrow and said, "You don't understand, clutch or kick!" He refused to adapt his language, even after I explained how it made me feel disconnected from him. So, as a temporary measure, I've decided to limit his time on the game. I made it clear that if he can start a regular communication between us, I would reconsider the ban. AITA?
