This is a fun horizontal shmup. I usually go more for vertical shmups, but this is one of the few (along with Death Smiles and Black Bird) that I can really get into. The game has several modes, most of which are pretty brutal, especially until you really master the bullet canceling mechanic. Good art and decent music, plus some bad English translations, if you're looking for a shump with a story for some reason.

A fairly difficult twin-stick rougelike. Nothing especially fancy, but enough depth and challenge to keep you coming back for another run.

Fun Rougelike with a unique mechanic in the claw machine. Chill, challenging, with just the right amount of RNG nonsense.

S tier shmup. Must-have for newbies and veterans alike. If you're on Linux, you'll need to launch the game from Big Picture mode to get it to launch consistently (at least in my experience).

The first time you race, you'll probably struggle with the controls. Well, not the controls so much as the fixed camera. But give it a few races and you'll get the hang of it, and once you do this game is soooo much fun. Remember GranTurismo 2? Will this is that but in 2D. But it's got the same feeling of mastery in sliding around corners and squeaking out close victories. It's not an easy game, but the difficulty is honest, i.e. it's all in the physics. When something goes wrong, you'll always know what you did wrong. I bought this game two days ago an apparently have played if for over 10 hours. Yes, it's that good.

Great 80s style arcade racer. Plenty of content and different challenges to complete. Definitely worth the modest price. Reinstalling it now to play the final update from the dev and mess around with the new modding tools.

Great Rally game with plenty of content. Great physics and damage model. The graphics aren't earth shattering, but plenty decent. The sound is good. Rally Cross mode is great for when you want some head-to-head racing. Cannot beat this one for the price.

Peggle plus rouge-like. No meta-progression apart from unlocking characters. If you enjoyed Peggle, this one is an easy recommend.

This game is the bomb. If you're into video pinball, don't miss it. I thought the flippers felt a little laggy at first, but after messing with the graphics options a bit that went away and it became a very responsive game. Excellent graphics and music. Tons of fun to be had here.
