This is unbearable to play through with two people. The amount of enemies and hard difficulty is understandable if you have more than 2 people playing, but besides that you'll encounter countless amount of game breaking, soft locking bugs. Also whats up with physics engine?? the turrets in nova prospekt would literally not stand up and would fall over with a slight gust of wind. If you haven't played through HL2 before but wanna play with a friend, I'd say stay away from Synergy and just play garry's mod with a few addons. Overall 3/10 for effort.

I was very excited to finally get my hand on NFS Heat, but that excitment quickly came to an end after I first loaded into the game and here's why:

Absolutely horrible optiomization. My PC runs Doom Eternal on Medium-High settings and i get solid 60-50 fps in the most intense arenas, meanwhile NFS on Low-Medium gets 35-50 fps at best.

The physics seem to be a bit of an improvement for grip setup cars, but drift cars are absolutely impossible to drive or slide. I get absolutely no enjoyment or fun from even attempting to drift a drift setup car. I've tried many different combinations of parts and cars and it's just down horrible. You have zero controll over the car, the handbrake doesn't do anything and you literally cannot keep a car sliding, the game either sends you into the wall or spins out. Before writing this review I revisited NFS Payback to see how the drifting differs between two games and Playback's physics is way more enjoyable and you can geniunly controll the car.

The soundtrack is absolutely horrible. I ended up muting the music entirely and just playing my own music in the background. Even NFS Payback had better OST, not to mention literally any other good NFS (Most Wanted, Underground 1 and 2, Carbon, The Run, 2015 and even PAYBACK!) But things like music are subjective, so take it with a grain of salt.

The customizations are a downgrade from Payback which were a downgrade from 2015. What was the point of removing the offset adjustment??? How was it bothering anyone? I am beyong confused. Yeah some cars had a few new parts, but the cars (180sx, miata, skylines, etc.) we all love and are known for their MASSIVE aftermarket in terms of aero/bodykits have the most mediocre and avarage kits out there.

The aestetics are once again subjective but this game has barely any character or atmosphere. Is there anyone who can relate to any of those characters or the protagonist? I know it's just a racing game but this is the laziest writing I've seen in a long time, even 2015 had a way better story.

Why do off-road/rally cars shoot sparks on the grass?? Everytime you perform a jump it feels like you're smashing the car against concrete, not to mention if you hit the ramp at a slightly bad angle it'll throw your car in the most random direction. When you jump on Grass/Dirt car's bottom is not supposed to scrape and shoot sparks!!

The map is the most bland and generic map. Absolutely no remarks, no enjoyment of exploring it. Feels like a half-baked knock-off Forza map.

In conclusion: There's nothing in this game that makes me want to come back and play it again. Save some money and buy yourself NFS Payback, Forza Horizon 4 or literally any other arcade racing game instead. I never write reviews but goshdarn it I haven't been this disappointed in a long time.

If you're looking to improve or learn how to race from scratch you're in the right place. If you can drift or race in this game, you can definately do it in real life. An entree level steering wheel such as Logitech G920(G29) will take you far and with good settings you can learn pretty much 80% of skills you'll need on irl track. This game also has huge modding community and some high quality tracks and cars. 10/10 would recommend
