Chinese Stir-Fried Chicken with Vegetables
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) chicken breast, sliced thin
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1 carrot, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 15-30 minutes.
Prepare the Vegetables: While the chicken is marinating, prepare your vegetables.
Stir-Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Cook Chicken: Add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
Add Vegetables: Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Season: Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.
Serve: Serve hot over cooked rice.
