A Disheartening Deja Vu: An Apathetic Review of the CS2 Disaster.

In an astounding display of self-imposed incompetence, the developers have managed to transform what could have been a hopeful new lease of life to the greatest e-sport game to ever have graced our screens into an absolutely shameful and barely functional re-skin. The sheer audacity to present this so-called 'CS**2**' 'game' without so much as a nod towards ANY OF THE 4 OR 5 ISSUES THE COMMUNITY WENT ON AND ON ABOUT FOR OVER A DECADE is an insult to the intelligence of everyone with eyes.

Let's start with the foundational flaw that has plagued the franchise from its inception: the (s)hit detection. One would think that a supposedly CS**2** would have at least made an effort to rectify this. Alas, disappointment looms as they've actually managed to MAKE IT WORSE! Leaving players fuming at the screen as their well-aimed shots dissipate into the wall behind the enemies head.

As if that weren't enough, the handling of ping continues to be an exercise in frustration, with players experiencing the joy of sliding across the map akin to some poorly orchestrated dance. One might hope that in this era of technological advancement, they would have devised a solution beyond this feeble attempt at balancing players between 0-50 ping , but alas, hope is a fragile thing in the face of such blatant negligence.

And let's not even begin to delve into the plethora of glitches that infest the game. It's as if the developers have taken the art of software bugs to a whole new level, transforming what could have been a smooth gaming experience into a whimsical journey through the land of crashes, collisions and crappy stickers. A true testament to the creative capabilities of utter ineptitude.

Ah, the anti-cheat. "VAC-Live". AI. A term that is more of an ironic joke than a functional system within this abomination of a game. It's almost as if the developers have thrown their hands up in surrender, allowing the cheaters to roam freely developing in the open-beta and featuring fully in the 'finished game", maybe you should hire some of their developers to make an anti cheat for you instead of demoralising the honest players who dare to step foot into this 'competitive game'.

Now, let's address the elephant in the room: the Russians. Not to be mistaken as a xenophobic rant, but the issue remains that the servers seem to have become a playground for an unruly horde of Russian players, turning every match into a linguistically revolting experience for those not versed in the intricacies of degeneracy. One would expect some form of region lock or alternative servers, but it appears that such considerations are beyond the scope of the developers' capabilities.

Oh, and how could we forget the much-coveted 128 tick? A dream that remains dead in the water now the 'superior' sub-tick is here!, like a shimmering mirage in the desert of broken promises, it offers nothing but the death of accuracy and consistency. Players continue to suffer through the torment of stuttering gameplay and erratic server response times, all while the developers sit comfortably with their head up their bottoms, seemingly oblivious to the cries of their loyal player base.

In conclusion, this cs**2** is nothing short of a tragic farce, a tale of shattered hopes and unfulfilled promises. It serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of brand loyalty, large companies and the folly of expecting competence from those who have proven time and again that they are content to revel in mediocrity (and more importantly your money). It's a wonder that they even bothered with a second release at all, considering the sheer disregard for the basic tenets of game development. It's an insult to the game, a slap in the face of progress, and a testament to the sheer resilience of valve to listen. Avoid at all costs, unless you have a masochistic penchant for digital torture.
