A nice little pirate dueling game, with a pretty steep learning curve; it's incredibly complex for such a simple game. You have to manage the direction of the boat, its speed, the cannonballs, aiming and shooting, as well as repairing the holes in your boat when you get hit, and flushing out the rising water if you leave the holes open. I do wish that attacking the enemies on the enemy ship was a bit more fleshed out I suppose, but that's just me nitpicking.

Probably one of the best recent indie games I've played, adeptly meshing together strategy, roguelike and tower defense elements whilst retaining design efficiency and minimalism. The fact it is still in early access amazes me considering the amount of content already in this game! Thronefall really reminds of Kingdom too, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was an influence for this game. Most importantly, Thronefall is well on its way of becoming a classic for the ages in its own right.

One of the best platformers ever created. Fluid controls and surprisingly deep mechanics, fantastic (and challenging) level design, tons of content and replay value, simple story with relatable characters; seriously, I cannot get enough of this game.

Excellent level design, has a great personality, good retro-styled graphics, tons of extra levels thanks to the community levels feature, simplistic controls that are hard to master, plenty of challenge, etc... What's not to love about this game? Unless you are the most irritable person on earth of course.
