PETITION: To remake Postal 2 in Unreal engine 4 or Unreal engine 5

First off, the game was really fun. And yes, I did played hours of the Xbox one version, and I did got to max rank, beaten the game on New Game plus with enhanced difficulty twice (Got the good and bad ending), and might come back to get the rest done to get 100% completion on the Xbox one version. Right now, I decided to play the PC version of this game and honestly, I really liked it better mainly because of how it looks and how it runs compared to the Xbox version. The PC version runs on 60 fps on my PC, while the Xbox version unfortunately runs on 30 fps, but sometimes it is 60 fps but it only becomes 60 frames per second when there are certain cutscenes that plays. While keyboard and mouse is personally not my thing and controller is my preference when I am playing this game, I do like playing first person shooter games with keyboard and mouse better than playing with controller. Anyways, let's talk about the game for real.


The good: The art style, the gameplay, strategy, the bosses and enemies, the AI, the amount of blood veils and weapons to choose in combat, the soundtrack, the characters, the story, the difficulty, the level design and variety, and the character creation system.

The bad: The DLC is very disappointing and I am not really gonna waste my money on the DLC after hearing what others said about the DLC, the combat music while fighting enemies (Not including bosses) can be repetitive though, and because of that, it led to me turning it off and play some music from the DOOM soundtrack while playing the game.

Overall, the game is really fun. If you like Dark Souls and anime, you will most likely enjoy playing this game.

(Also you can make The Postal Dude in the game, which makes it even better.)

So let me start off this review by saying that this game is amazing.

The gunplay in this game is very good, the enemies are varied, the level design is very good, a lot of level types, the bosses are fun to fight, finding secrets is fun, the movement is great and fast, and the soundtrack (which is composed by Andrew Hulshult) is fantastic.

If you love DOOM, then you will absolutely enjoy playing this game. I gotta give this game a 9/10 because endless mode and the single player mode are very good, but the multiplayer unfortunately doesn't have a lot of people playing and is kinda dead though. Overall, the game is great and I highly recommend those who haven't played it buy it and play it.

Tbh, This is the DOOM game that started it all and it was (still to this day) a fun, blood spilling, brutal, amazing game. I have the complete classic collection on Steam that include DOOM 2, DOOM 2 master levels, DOOM 1, (which I am reviewing right now) and Final DOOM. Also I got DOOM 1, DOOM 2, and DOOM 3 on the BFG edition on my Xbox 360 physically and got DOOM 2016 reboot on Xbox one and I loved these games and still play them and love them to this day. And honestly I never made a review on Steam before, but this is my first one and I was thinking about making a review on this game and here I am doing it and I am gonna start this off by getting into this game and talk about what is good about it and what is bad.








The gameplay is very good, classic styled FPS with many enemy types with their weaknesses and strengths, to the amount of weapons where you can use big f**king guns, and the secrets you can find. Also collecting items and killing all enemies can get you a score if you do perfect or not with a precentage system with killing enemies, finding secrets and collecting items. killing demons never get old. Blue hologram lady: Demon is an offensive term, they preferred to be named mortally challenged. Me: Oh crap... Did I just said demon?! Oh, that's a offensive term? Just call them mortally challenged? Ok! *Kills mortally challenged demons in the process*

Great level design with well hidden secrets, well placed enemies, and well placed weapons and items.

Fun bosses. The Cyberdemon and Spiderdemon are awesome bosses to fight, kill and fun to play.

Classic, amazing soundtrack with classics tracks like for example Knee Deep In The Dead.

Good gunplay with plasma/rocket tracers for the Plasma rifle, BFG 9000 and the rocket launcher. Also The gunplay has impact, good sound effects, good animations during it's time and the gunplay is overall good during it's time.

And finally, you can play it with mods to make the game even better. For example Brutal DOOM, from it's improved gunplay, gore system, gameplay, weapons, new weapons, enemies and more, it is in my opinion better than the original game and I think it's the best way to enjoy the game if you are bored of the vanilla version of DOOM 1, DOOM 2 and Final DOOM.





I personally don't like the melee attack and the berserk power up that much in the old DOOM games, fortunately they fixed that in DOOM 2016, Eternal and the Brutal DOOM mod that made the melee attacks and berserk much better. (Not mentioning the chainsaw but just the fists)

The controls for the vanilla DOOM are (in my opinion) bad on the PC port, fortunately the control problem has been fixed with the Brutal DOOM mod.





DOOM (1993) still holds up to this day to many fans and clearly one of my favorite games of all time right on my top 20. With mods, the game is even better with them. Personally my favorite mod is Brutal DOOM. I am right now playing it with Zandronum and I might one day get GZDOOM soon, because of the incredible gunplay, graphics, gameplay, better controls, a lot more enemy types, more big guns, and a lot more stuff than the vanilla version, the Brutal DOOM mod is to me my favorite mod for the old DOOM games. Even with or without mod, (just like my boy GGGManLives said) this game still kicks ass.
