This is an arcade game. Don't buy expecting to be realistic, or for a deep story. Cutscenes and dialogue giving nice flavour to the missions, but get annoying after a few deaths if you are bad at first.
You play in a plane that consistently goes at a speed that would cause the plane to break. You probably are pulling more Gs than astronauts most of the time. You have 100 missiles and a world record kd, taking out dozens of enemy planes and drones per mission. Ace combat 7 delivers action-packed high speed fun.

This is a good game, but only for a specific type of person. There is quite a grind to progress (to higher level vehicles) but you are matched with vehicles of your level so you are never too disadvantaged. You need to be able to grind, and enjoy the rare satisfaction of a hard fought victory.

EDIT: since this review, there have been a few issues like hidden reward nerfs, giving people who claimed premium from an official twitch drop a "debt" that can ban their account, and now rather than being bothered to moderate the game or install filters and just ban people who are reported, chat has been turned off. For everyone. You cannot even message friends or squadmates. Report functions have been hidden/disabled as well. And the mods are locking and deleting steam and forum threads calling this out. Until this is revoked, the review will be negative.

This ruins the multiplayer aspect of the game, as you cannot coordinate, describe enemy numbers and vehicles, speeds, ammo, damage ect. It is especially bad in air mode, as more people will steal kills of a crashing plane if you dont call out that you've crippled it and youre about to receive the kill

A great casual third person shooter to play with friends. While feeling a bit too random either set paths, it allows specific upgrades for specialised builds and gives a slight difference to each run. Easy enough to learn and pick up after a break. I wouldn’t recommend for nonstop play, but this is a great casual game for with friends

A stunningly beautiful platformer with simple controls and mechanics while still providing a challenge. A little bit grindy, and a lack of clear objective, but with enough exploring you should be fine...
unless you go the wrong way and try to clear an entire zone early without a map or the required items.

Bought this game when it cost money, barring out the little kids. Now that it is free, the item prices have gone down. The prime status upgrade has just been released, giving barely any new exclusive content, and requires another purchase. Should be free for those who already bought the game.

A fun and short "rhythm" puzzle game. Can be a bit frustrating at times, but worth the effort.
