Early Access Review
Downloaded literally the minute available and I love it after playing for about eight hours.

The world is beautiful with ruins visible from on high, there is so much to explore and find (some of which is hidden and puzzle-like), and I like that there aren't hoardes of beasties trying to kill me at every turn.

I've played hundreds, and in one instance thousands of hours, in games in this genre and I think this one is going to be a favorite.

Love, love, love this game. Did I mention that I love this game?

I usually go for survival/exploration games but a friend recommended I try Journey and I'm so glad I did. On my first play through I met several fellow travelers and while I'm late to gaming (I'm 59 and just really started playing games last year) I can say with 100% certainty that I've never felt such a connection to players that I've just met.

I struggled with learning how to fly and they waited patiently while I plowed into walls and ceilings. They would chirp what I think was encouragement since they didn't leave me behind. And when I got to the stairs in the snow level and couldn't figure it out they wouldn't leave me behind. I finally had to quit the game so that my fellow travelers could finish their journey.

Last night I finally made it to the end of the game. Wow was it amazing.

This is the only game I've played where I felt deep emotions, met players who were selfless, and immediately knew it was a game I could come to to be uplifted.

Granny Gamer back for another review, this time for Ark: Survival Evolved.

I started playing Ark with my son and grandsons back last October on Windows/Xbox. After playing about 500 hours I just couldn't take the grind of the vanilla, unmodded game. Playing the same game on Steam is SO much better.

Right now I'm playing Solo and while I'm enjoying the experience, having made level 103 in under a week, I'll be looking for a tribe soon to help this survivor find others who want to play a chill, fun PVE game.

If you enjoy having to think, plan, and execute... while occasionally asking your bad @ss argie to attack alpha trexes for the fun of it then this is the game for you!

I've never written a review before for anything but that is changing right now. I discovered No Man's Sky about a month ago. I originally bought it to play in VR but quickly discovered that it was also enjoyable on the PC once I got the hang of the key mappings.

I've never played console games but it's safe to say I'm hooked with just over 150 hours in the last 3 weeks. I look forward to the daily Nexus missions and only have one more before I have enough quicksilver to get an important item, I got my freighter a couple of days ago and I LOVE fighting pirates. Who would have thought a 58 year old grandmother would become a No Man's Sky avid player! :-)
