A massive down grade from the first game. If you haven't played the AoH 2 then you will probably enjoy it, however like many people I went into this game expecting it to be a massive upgrade from the original. Instead I was met with a poor, unfinished, unpolished game, lacking in content, and severely lacking in features that made the original so great. The transition for TBS to RTS is not a problem but more or less you will just sit around waiting for your gold to slowly go up so that you might build a granary or SMLT. And if your army is destroyed or you lose a war, you are not fighting another one for at least 10-20 years in game. Speaking of wars there boring as ♥♥♥♥. For a game that intended to improve on realism they did a ♥♥♥♥ job at that. Its a throw you lines at the enemy and hope for the best, because you have no idea what type of units you are facing, and it doesn't matter what nation your facing they will always have more units than you. During my play through France ended up in a sort of fractured mess with far fewer provinces than England (player) but even though France was fighting 3 wars and had a ♥♥♥♥ economy they still managed to amass an army of 45 compared to my measly 30.
There are also so many things missing from the previous game. Such as creating vassal, forming unions, trading, calling vassals to war etc etc etc.

Just play the original

One of the first games I bought, and it will be sad to see it go.

Since the game has been out for a month most of the bugs have been fixed making for an intense massive 128 player battle. I'm honestly suprised by how few hackers i came across giving that it's PC
