Okay so. My mom is not a gamer. My mom uses her mouse upside down. She's 64 and gets overwhelmed by playing the mariokart maps that don't stay flat. However, she LOVES to read. I set my mom up on her computer with this being the only steam game ever downloaded. I watched her play all 4 chapters. She was SO excited.

The fact that she got to make her own decisions and that it impacted her story so significantly was super thrilling for her. "It's like a choose your own adventure book!" Correct. She ended up doing almost every single possible thing DIFFERENTLY than I did. It was very fun to watch someone with 0 "game sense" play something that has consequences. I gave her no hints other than technical help.

She was also amazed by the artwork and how little details in the background MATTERED rather than just being put there as flavor. I adore this game, and I am so happy that she loves it as much as I do. I was worried it would be too scary for her. I think it was the perfect amount. Enough to get the heebie jeebies but not enough to want to turn the game off. Uhg I love this game so much.

We played in 2 sessions, at the end of chapter 4 she was fully ready to play the next one. I had to remind her 5 wasn't out yet! "They can just DO THAT to us!?" Safe to say she is very excited for Chapter 5!
