To be fair, I started Ark WAAAAY long ago before the devs decided difficulty was a substitute for, ya know, a game that's actually geared to be a PVP survival.

Back then the biggest danger was a Rex, and so long as you had narco arrows you were pretty much set- by the time they starded making the game more difficult I was well-equipped and could take on virtually anything.

Now.... now starting at 0 is a bunch of swear words about pegomastix and trodons, and a long haul into getting yourself a dino that won't be eaten by the overspawn of alphas. Endless death, endless respawns, constant loss of equipment- Ark has gotten REALLY unfriendly to new players, and is SUPER broken in Solo and Private servers where it can be made easier via ini code.

I really want to see it get a proper rebalancing, but based on the Developers current track record I really don't think that's ever going to happen.
