Stationeers is a very immersive game; whether it be hunkered down in your base during a storm or feeling the isolation of your base surrounded by inhabitable atmosphere. Building an area to protect yourself, your items, plants, and chickens from the environment is an exciting part of the game.

However, there are some concerns I have about the pacing of the game and overall progress flow. Starting off, the game gives you some equipment and base building supplies but no clear tutorial or training on what to build and in what order the player should progress (though I must admit there have been improvements).

There are many items and objects to mess around with but it can be confusing to know how to properly use them. For example, the Air Conditioner built from the Atmospherics kits is tedious to use and understand how it works, even after spending a few hours in sandbox trying to get it to work.

Pipe and Gas networks don't behave intuitively, while being realistic, and there are many factors that are acting that players might not realize are affecting the operations of what they are working on.

Mining takes forever and is not very rewarding, there is no easy way to automate this early on as well, nothing really can be automated early on very well.

Lastly, the multiplayer can be a bit buggy, where players will be frozen in place while still being able to perform tasks and their models not disappearing even after hitting the button to delete all disconnected players.

My recommendations for this game to improve would be to help the player understand how their progression should work. This could be down in a similar method as Minecraft modpacks by adding a progression flow chart, showing important milestones.
Trainings or scenarios where the player starts in an already made base but has to complete certain tasks would be great as well. This would also provide the Developers are opportunity to show how equipment or objects are used, such as the Air Conditioner, while also showing the possibilities of what the players can make. (admittedly, I know they have disabled trainings due to new content, but my point still stands).

I can recommend the game to new players and will admit it is fun to learn how to survive and build new things in Stationeers, but it can be tedious to learn how to complete certain milestones, such as hydroponics, in an efficient or clear manner.
