My face flushed bright red at the mention of that powerful word—sex. However, my curiosity was instantly aroused. My ears were turned on. Fascinated, I listened as my beautiful, attractive AP biology teacher, Mrs. Cox, passionately discussed how human gametes grow, divide, and divide again in order to prepare themselves for sexual reproduction.
Needless to say, I'd discovered my...lifelong passion.
The bell rang, snapping me out of my stupor. I rushed home from school, impure thoughts beginning to form in my enormous, juicy brain. I settled in front of my microscope. I thought of Mrs. Cox's lecture. My heart pounded and began to pump blood to...another organ....
Squinting, I counted 1, 2, 3....23 chromosomes! She was right! I observed my little swimmers' tails underneath the powerful magnifying lens of my microscope. Wow... biology in action.
Ever since, I have been fascinated by the study of human sexual reproduction. And, at Cornell, I won't only study sexual biology in my classes—I'll live it. Whether at dorms, or parties, or at Ithaca's thriving nightclubs, I'll find girls to reproduce with—and together, we will combine our sets of 23 chromosomes.
