I am a Middle Earth LOTR fan and enjoyed playing Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War(both occurring in the Second Age) that preceded the events of LOTR which largely occurred in the Third Age of Middle Earth.

What happened in Mordor during the Second Age was never written about by the author of LOTR, Tolkien, so this re-imagining of those preceding events is interesting to me as Tolkien's LOTR prequel Silmarillion described and retold mostly about what happened in the lands outside of Mordor during that age.

The gameplay also feels like the Batman Arkham series which is one of my favorite series of all time.

I just finished all 3 chapters of this game and I must say I enjoyed it immensely. There were so many twists and turns that the plot kept me guessing all the way to the end.

For those who enjoyed reading Agatha Christie novels, I have to say that this game more than lived up those novels. There even were a homage to her most famous novels Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile.

The graphics and scenarios were also well done and sometimes breathtaking despite being quite a few years old now. And I also learned a lot about history specifically with regards to archaeology and Egyptology in this game both topics of which I found interesting.

It even made me think about taking a cruise someday.

If you can get over the glitchy and frustrating controls on the game, I would definitely highly recommend playing the entire series if you are at all interested in point and click detective games.

I bought a 4K TV for my bedroom and decided to connect a steam link device to it in order to be able play my PC games in the bedroom from my gaming desktop which was located several rooms away in the gaming room. I was a little bit disappointed that the max resolution only comes out to 1080p but have been otherwise satisfied with the reception via the local area network. I do recommend using at least an ethernet connection between the PC and the router to reduce input lag though. Both my Xbox One and Xbox 360 controller were both recognized and work well with it.
