I couldn't even play for a full hour. I tried, I did, but I could not do it. I had big hopes when I heard this game was being redone and revitalized, but I was left disappointed with the result.
It feeds inspiration from other asymmetricals like Friday the 13th and Dead by Daylight but somehow does it worse than both of those games. The controls for both Hunters and Survivors feel wonky and stiff, the Hunters are not menacing or original in any sense of those two words, and the objectives are very drawn out and kind of difficult to reach. The sound design is dry, the setting isn't clear, and overall the game still feels very unfinished. I see limbs of character models where I shouldn't (especially when hiding in "hideables") and I found myself reviving team mates more than I spent actually doing any of the objectives.
