It has its fair share of bugs, but a certain charm about it. The main selling point is the community. Everyone I've met playing has been very welcoming and helpful.

If anyone is interested in joining a community of these wonderful players, find any Blueridge County servers when in game and someone will help you get into our RP community!

Review: The Precinct

The Precinct has potential, but in its current state, it feels overpriced and undercooked. The game clearly aims to deliver a gritty, immersive beat-cop experience, and while some aspects succeed, others fall noticeably short.

One of the standout features is the sound design and music, surprisingly engaging and well executed. I typically disable music in games shortly after starting, but here, it's been a consistent highlight that adds to the atmosphere rather than detracting from it. The overall aesthetic is solid as well; patrolling the streets genuinely feels like being a cop in the slums of Gotham City.

Unfortunately, that immersion quickly breaks down due to several gameplay flaws. Callouts become repetitive far too quickly, and some of the mechanics lack logical cohesion. For example, if I pull someone over for littering and they flee, why can’t I arrest them for evading and issue a citation for the initial offense? These types of limitations make encounters feel overly scripted and restrictive.

Traffic AI is another major pain point. NPC vehicles stop abruptly for no reason, leading to constant rear-end collisions that feel more like bugs than design. There’s also no option to tow vehicles, a basic feature present in nearly every other police sim on the market.

Lastly, character animations, especially when handling a rifle, are surprisingly rough. The awkward, broken movement is immersion-breaking and frankly unacceptable at this price point.

There’s a good game buried underneath the issues, but right now, The Precinct feels more like a promising early-access title than a finished product. With more development time and refinement, it could be something special. As it stands, I can’t recommend it.

This game has charm, but...

I purchased Myth of Empires despite the wave of negative reviews, hoping it was simply a case of undeserved criticism. Unfortunately, I should have heeded the warnings. The game has an incredible foundation and offers many of the features I look for in a survival crafting experience. However, it's marred by severe performance issues that render it nearly unplayable.

Even with a high-end rig, I’ve experienced dramatic frame rate drops—going from a smooth 120 FPS to a staggering 2.4 FPS without any clear cause, even while standing idle. I’ve experimented extensively with the game's overwhelming array of graphical settings, yet nothing seems to bring any semblance of stability.

It's disappointing, because there is real potential here. What began as an exciting and immersive new venture into a survival world quickly devolved into a frustrating and disheartening experience. Unless the developers make significant optimizations, I simply cannot recommend this title. Save your money—for now.
