Ah, finally... after many months and 230 hours my journey has come to its end. This was my first SRW and honestly such a refreshing experience both as a game and as an alternate story for a number of characters I've followed for more than half my life; I got to see more satisfying conclusions for many from the Gundam franchise who had ignominious ends due to odd production choices in the animated adaptations. But beyond that, the game manages to take a whole gaggle of varying stories, technologies, magics, heroes, and villains and blend them in a cohesive way while making them each fit uniquely into the over-arching narrative. Admittedly some things may require a little extra suspension of disbelief, but we're talking super robots here, so just go with it. As for the gameplay, the tactical strategy is solid, even if the battle animations start to feel a little stale after awhile (but you can always skip them or disable them to speed things along). My only real complaint is that on normal difficulty the game isn't very arduous beyond the first 20% of it (I quickly reached a point where my units could one-shot enemies with a single spirit command), so if you prefer a greater challenge I recommend upping the difficulty.

An absolute classic and exemplar of first person horror survival. Dark, horrific, vulgar, and heart-stopping, with characters that will haunt you for life. I played through once years ago and only finally had the fortitude to play again. 10/10 would escape being a bride again
