When you first look at Terraria, it seems pretty straightforward. You make the world, build a house, mine, craft , explore, and get stupidly op items and rip through the bosses. However, unlike in Minecraft, which usually overshadows it, all of this has a purpose. There's more of a story to the game, and has a good mix of adventure, combat, and building, all with a purpose. Additionally, the enemies are diverse, the sky has things in it, and is welcoming to various types of playstyles. For example, after getting late in the game, you are presented w/ armor that can benefit either melee, ranged, or magic playstyles, along with items that can give bonuses to speed, damage, and others. There is also a community for modded Terraria, with loads of unique and interesting mods.

Overall, I would rate Terraria 10/10, and would definitely recommend to everyone, even those who have a dis-interest in games where crafting is a big part of it.

This is an awesome addicting game! Hugely reccomend it to anyone that can get this. It has a great story and cutscenes, and some parts are filled with jokes and laughs.
