This is the most polished Early Access game I have ever played. I had high expectations after watching its development over the past few months, but they have been far exceeded. I am astonished at the amount of detail and QoL put in at such an early stage. Many features I didn't know I needed, like selecting an entire belt connection, and many that are good to have, such as customizible difficulty.
I've played the first shapez, and while the core concept remains the same, the expanded features make this an amazing experience. Definitely one of the most unique factory games out there, and dare I say one of the best if development continues this path.

Satisfactory + Astroneer/No Man's Sky + Factorio = good game

Consistently updated, active community, and something we haven't quite seen before, an interstellar 3D* factory builder. What more could we want?

*only some structures stack vertically, but you can still go crazy with conveyors as high as you want

Me: Mom, can we get Factorio?
Mom: We have Factorio at home.
Factorio at home:

Seriously, though, this game is fantastic. Shapez.io innovates on the concept that Factorio is, a 2D factory builder, by making it essentially bare-bones. It does not involve combat, depleting resource nodes, or even power (not for now, an update is coming soon), which are some of the more challenging aspects of a game like Factorio. This minimalistic approach to such a genre makes the game quite enjoyable, but not necessarily easy or simple. The challenge and thrill of designing efficient layouts of machines and belts is still very much there. And, as you progress through the linear milestones, unlocking new "buildings" or machines to work with, the game's complexity increases along with it. You're still getting all the action of a factory builder in this seemingly dumbed down game, and this is certainly a good thing. To top it all off, a $4 price tag for a game like this made by a single person is essentially a steal. I will go so far to say that this game is severely underpriced for the amount of quality work that has gone into this game. So, do yourself a favor and pick this game up now (the price will increase to $6 after the power update) and enjoy Shapez.io, a simple but amazingly well crafted factory game.

Update 10/9/20:
The wires update has finally been released (10/8 it was released I believe). This update appears to add a whole new level of complexity to the game, a second layer that contains wires that are used to control factory machines. This update also brought along several other changes, mainly to the user interface. The settings menu looks complete and clean, an animated factory background for the title screen was implemented, splash text was put on the title, and much more. These little changes make the game that much better. i have to seriously give props to the guy that is making this game, he has been hard at work for months developing this and it is absolutely fantastic. The price increased just a buck to $4.99, but it is still worth every bit of that. I wouldn't be disappointed to buy it at that price at all. This update has brought many good things, so consider picking this game up to enjoy a well made game.

I had not heard of this game before its release on Steam. I don't know why that is, but I quickly realized I had been missing out. Satisfactory is a masterpiece of a factory building game. The amount of time and effort that was put in by these guys is incredible, from the hand-crafted 30km^2 map to the little animations in the factory machines. Additionally, making game like this both first-person and 3-dimensional is somewhat unique to this genre. For those who want to compare this game to Factorio, its core concept is the same, but overall it is not. Combat is only occasional when you find enemies, and they will not attack your structures. Resource nodes are essentially infinite (with the exception of one ore), and the map is not procedurally generated. Now, I have not played Factorio, but this gives me a decent idea of what its about. Overall, this game may be in a very early access stage, but at this state it is still amazing. If you liked Factorio, I can almost guarantee you will enjoy this game. It is definitely worth the $30 price tag, and I personally think this was the best $27 (I got it on sale) I had spent on games in a while.

One of the greatest games I have ever played. The level of freedom you are given to cause chaos and do whatever you want in a massive open world makes for an amazing experience. You can go from roaming the simulated Italian countryside with your wingsuit or driving through the mountains in a sports car to destroying an enemy base with a fighter jet or launching nukes into a city. As for the story, it is pretty good and is average length, around 25-30 hrs but can depend on playstyle. Would definitely recommend picking up this game on sale, though it is also totally worth it at full price.

This little game is actually a very neat concept. You are to draw roads to connect roads to other roads to create interchanges and a road network. The game gives you freedom to create the interchange how you want to, as simple or complex as you like. I find it quite relaxing to connect roads to other roads and aim for the highest score.
Unfortunately, there is no undo button, which means if you mess up a road, you have to clear the entire interchange. This can be frustrating at times, but it is a sense of realism because of what this game is about. You can't just undo a real road or bridge with a click of a button now can you?
