We understand that you are dissatisfied with the requirement to install the Epic Online Service client when launching the game. Please be assured that this setup is only intended to support cross-platform play between Steam and Epic and to sync the friend lists on both platforms.

However, you do not need to link your Steam and Epic accounts to play the game. Linking accounts is not mandatory and will not affect your gameplay experience.
