While there he discovered a previously unknown element and took it back to the lab. How he achieved this was due to him evaporating seawater and passing chlorine gas through the concentrated brine ranging from 10% to 26% of salt which caused it to release an unexpected reddish-brown liquid that caused the creation of Bromine. In addition a year prior Carl Jacob L, a German chemist discovered Bromine in a different way. He discovered it as a brown gas starting to develop after he mixed salt and treated the mix with chlorine." Sorry I posted this late, but better late than never right? You can change it and add any other reserach to the type project. Much appreciated; thanks :)

"Good morning everypone. Today we would like to present our project on the element of Bromine. Bromine is the thirty-fifth element of the periodic table has a mass of 79.904 and is located in the halogens which derives from the Greek prefix of hal- which means salt and the suffix -gen which means to produce. The discovery of Bromine has an interesting story behind it that you may not know. In 1826 Antoine J Balard a French chemist visited Montepellier France to do some testing in the seawater. He was there because he wanted to study the residues left behind after the salt production from the seawater from Montepellier

Grass is a type of plant with narrow leaves growing from the base. Their appearance as a common plant was in the mid-Cretaceous period. There are 12,000 species now. A common kind of grass is used to cover the ground in places such as lawns and parks. Grass is usually the color green. That is because they are wind-pollinated rather than insect-pollinated, so they do not have to attract insects. Green is the best colour for photosynthesis. Grasslands such as savannah and prairie where grasses are dominant cover 40.5% of the land area of the Earth, except Greenland and Antarctica.
