What is a good way to describe it? Furry doom mixed with whatever Rougelike you can think of. and before the term "furry" drives you away, let the gameplay speak for itself. smooth controls and chaotic yet calm encounters, depending on your play style, want to sit back with a sniper and pick enemies off before they can fight back, go ahead. Jump into the frey with a sword and brawl anything that dare glance at you funny, no problem. The best part is it does have that balance between Skill and RNG some games are a test of skill as the Upgrades recieved aren't quite what you were after, but still viable. Some are what I call "Canonical Doomguy" runs, where builds went so in you're favor you wade through enemies like fire through gas doused paper. but here's where the balance comes into play, even on "Doomguy" runs, It will easily bring your run crashing down as the enemies scale rather smoothly, not too powerful, but noticeably tougher. best I can say is "The game makes you overpowered, because the enemies will be just as so." keeping you on your toes even at the best of points. Lastly, the game rewards risky moves, taking a fall to grow further than before, like "oh no, I got a curse that reduces my ammo, but got a scroll to negate 3 instances of damage every 30 seconds" or "I take more trap damage, but my lucky shot went through the roof." yeah you have a downside, but what you get usually outweighs the bad.
Edit: Game is still being updated as of making this and has only gotten better
