Overall an ideal game for those who seek fast-paced competitive games (especially 1v1) with a large learning curve, or if you'd like a chill game with friends with its unique set of party-themed game modes. The most appealing aspect of the game is probably landing long combos on opponents and wiping their stock after they just spawned B). Although the in-game tutorial barely teaches you about what to do in a match, youtube is a great source for 'proper' tutorials into the game and provides information to help you develop your gameplay no matter what level you're at.

Gameplay: There are a large scope of movement and attack options ranging in complexity which allows you to play at any skill level. At low level, most players spam heavy attacks due to the convenience of their large hitboxes, but they eventually hit a road block where they actually need to learn how to use movement and attacks to progress towards beating more skilled players. In mid level players develop more on these things as well as learning combos for weapons (there are a lot). There is a training mode to practice these in. At high level, players know how to play neutral, which is the state where both players are on stage and are trying to damage their opponent whilst avoiding damage. A large mix of different movement options to throw your opponent off-guard is vital to thrive against high level opponents. Overall, gameplay can be very fast paced (especially if both players aggro often). Although matches can be boring/frustrating when playing against passive players, there is a feature to help reduce passive play (you can't cling on the walls for very long or you fall off the map). Additionally there is 2v2 as a main game mode where you can set up team combos with your teammate and completely kill off a stock of your opponent... satisfying as hell but very difficult.

Variety/Customisation: Over 50 characters to play with 6 unique heavy attacks each. Each character uses 2 weapons (out of the 13) where each weapon has a large variety of moves and combos. There are a plethora of skins and crossovers with an insane amount of different themes.

Party: Up to 8 people can play in a custom lobby where you are able to play a variety of game modes like soccer, capture the flag, basketball with bombs, tag etc. Very fun to f**k around in.
