While Valheim is a very good game in concept and can be stunningly beautiful in his very own way, this game has a way of making literally every thing you want and need to do much more tedious than it needs to be.
Both the way stamina and weight limits works is just more realistic than needs be in a world full of mythical beings and magic and both only hamper the feeling of adventure and discovery. Note that this does in no way make the game more difficult, because ways to mitigate both of these issues do exist but even with those measures taken, it still feels clunky and unnecessarily time consuming.

But the worst thing is the way using portals and finding and bringing home metals works. You can and will build a multitude of portals in your regular Valheim playthrough because some biomes are very far away and only accessible via ship. Most likely you will search these biomes for their unique metals. You can not bring the raw ore (nor the bars for that matter) home to your forge and furnace to the portal, you have to bring everything to where you farm the metals. This means that this game either forces you to build a base in place where it permanently will be destroyed, later enemies deal a lot of dmg, or forces you to travel by ship for long times just to get metal home... There is a third, maybe unintended way to avoid that, you start a new world, build a chest and use it as a storage room for raids for metals.
