Good stuff:
1. Good movement.
2. Very satisfying weapons.
3. Each area and dungeon is unique. (but each area gets repetitive the more rooms you clear)
4. Progression is fun, but it's easy to get confused as the wiki is very underdeveloped.
5. Visually the game is awesome.

Bad stuff:
1. No immunity frames. You can literally die within milliseconds if there are attacks stacked on each other.

2. Inconsistent dodge patterns for bosses. They say it's skill based, but its more of "get lucky on your 20th attempt (most likely 50+ on hard mode)". Having randomness on bosses paired with no immunity frames makes the game difficulty artificially inflated.

3. Hard mode. This is just... not fun to be honest. My first playthrough was hard mode, and enemies do unreasonable amounts of damage. You can die in 2-3 hits in most if not all enemy rooms if not careful, and bosses, well, they can also 2-3 shot you.

4. The healing system. I can't understand why they made it so you cannot move while healing. On top of that, you have to stand, vulnerable, and wait for the healing cooldown to finish. If you let go early, you heal less, if you get hit while healing but you heal at the same time, you still die. This actually happens quite frequently.

5. General enemy design. By themselves the enemies are very interesting and are pretty unique. I don't think they repeated the same attack once. (there are upgraded versions of attack though) However, when put into a tiny room, with more than 4 enemies, it suddenly becomes a bullet hell verging on impossible to dodge since the enemies are ruthless. They can move faster than you in most cases, and all of them fire projectiles. Paired with the no immunity frames, you can't do much if the enemies aren't dying fast enough.

6. Need to shred enemies and bosses. Since there are no immunity frames and enemies are relentlessly chasing you, you usually have to be killing them as fast as possible. Same goes for bosses, as their attacks have randomness, along with little to no cooldown.

7. The checkpoint system. How this works is you have to clear at least 4-5 rooms between the checkpoint statues, and each time you die, you go back to the previously activated checkpoint. While this sounds fair, its really not. Each time you die, every room you clear is reset. All the enemies respawn, and you have to redo all the rooms. But that's not all: Every time you activate a checkpoint, all the enemies respawn in the rooms you have already cleared. It makes sense for farming purposes, but for general exploration and map clearing, it's pretty awful to deal with, especially on hard mode.

8. Dashing mechanic. Its almost necessary to dash in this game. While the dash itself is well designed and fun to use, the use is limited. The default maximum is 3 dashes, with around a 2 second cooldown after you use them all. You can increase this up to 5 dashes with the badges and rings. Since the dash is limited, if you use them all you have to wait to use them again, but that's not all. Some attacks require dodging to avoid them, such as the shockwave attacks. You can avoid them if they dissipate when you are far enough away, but sometimes a boss corners you and then decides to do do a shockwave attack.

9. Bosses. They are really cool looking and unique, but all of them have the same issues. There is no consistent pattern between attacks. You can go into a boss room, and it will always choose attacks in a random order. Paired with the lack of cooldown between attacks, you have little chance of dodging sometimes.

10. Room design and randomness. The world is randomly generated with a couple set parameters. While this is fine and makes sense for the game, some areas have unreasonably small rooms. As well as that there are usually 4+ enemies in each room. As for boss rooms, they are usually bigger than the enemy rooms. I say usually because in my run of hard mode, I got some really tiny rooms for some of the non-dungeon bosses, making them harder for no reason.

11. Bugs. There are a lot of them. You can get stuck on cracks in the wall. Enemy healthbars show up on the death screen. You can collect items on the death screen. You can dodge into the water/lava/void, and still get hit while reappearing on solid ground. Hitboxes are wacky in general. You can rarely take damage after you die. There are probably more I haven't mentioned.

12. Attack design. They aren't fun. Some of them are completely random, and inconsistent to dodge. Some of them even require dashing, but since they are limited, good luck avoiding them. There are also homing attacks. Need I say more?

13. Damage inconsistencies. Bosses and enemies throughout the game can do little to no damage, or half your health. Very inconsistent.

FINALE:
Q: Do I recommend this game?
A: Sort of, but only if you like brute forcing your way through a game.

MY OPINION:
I like it, but it needs lots of work. However the game hasn't been updated in over a year, so I don't know if anything will be fixed.
