I've bought this game 3 times now. First time on release day on the PS4 watching the countdown go down being the most hyped I've ever been because the first game was my favourite game of all time. The 2nd time on PC on the RGL. Now the 3rd time on Steam. Why? Cause I just wanted to put it on my profile as my favourite game, that's how much I adore this game. I have a combined total of 600+ hours put into this game and while I wish I could have that same spark playing the story mode for the first time, I still hop on the online from time to time to enjoy everything I've gotten. It's a crime in my opinion that God Of War won the 2018 GOTY. However, this game is not perfect, no game is. The online for one is abandoned. The game also in my experience has bad anti-aliasing; the trees look too blurry for me and if I want the game to look good I need to crank the resolution scale up which lowers the FPS a lot. Now, that's pretty much all the cons I've got for this game.
The pros are an endless list but I can see how some gameplay aspects aren't for everyone. I for one love just riding through the wilderness. Although that might not sound that interesting I recommend trying to immerse yourself in the atmosphere because even after this much time playing this game, you can still find new details, Easter eggs, random encounters and gorgeous views. I just desperately wish they added a DLC to put cut content into the story mode. Originally, they planned to explore all of Guarma, there's even a volcano on the map which would've been amazing to hike up. They also planned to add content into New Austin because Arthur has dialogue there. They might've even included Mexico with New Austin but this isn't even all of the cut content. It's incredibly disappointing that Rockstar took so many years to develop this masterpiece and they just throw it to the curb because it doesn't make as much money as their huge cash cow GTA Online. All in all though, this is a game that every gamer should at the very least try because it created a much higher standard in the gaming industry and will likely be talked about a decade later on how ahead of its time it was.
