I hadn't touched Coral Island for a while because I kept crashing and there were a lot of things missing from the actual game back then. Now, a whole year later, various new things seem to have been added and I was looking forward to finally playing again. But maybe I should have checked recent reviews before installing it again... because this initial joy only lasted a few minutes, as the game still crashes incredibly often. Apparently, the underwater region and fast traveling between land and ocean are still causing big issues. I couldn't even finish an ingame day (the point at which the game saves your progress). It's just no fun. As others have noted before me, I wanted to love this game because it had so much potential. And it's sad, because visually it's incredibly beautiful and if it would work as intended, it would be great. But as it currently stands, I cannot recommend it. Maybe in another year or so, it will be playable without the crashes and frustration... or even be complete at some point.
