Fantastic game. I've played both the other Metro games, and while good, this blows them both out of the water, in terms of gameplay and in terms of character development. I've rarely played a game where the people feel as human as this one, and I've enjoyed getting to know each of the individuals on the Aurora. Game play is varied, with vast open levels in the Caspian desert and in the Russian Taiga, to being underground in bunkers. The sound design also struck me along with the visuals as being something special.

If you're going to play a game from the last couple years, I don't think you'd be disappointed with this one.

10/10. A true masterpiece.

This game should be played by all leaders in training. Really makes you make tough decisions. Its fun, its hard, and it forces you into lesser-of-evils choices. I survived, but at such a high cost, it made me consider the morality of my actions as few games ever have.

Having played this game a bit through the beta, and now into the full release, I think this game can serve as an exemplar for what Warhammer 40k games can achieve, and what smaller design studios can achieve. There's 12 factions, awesome ships, amazing attention to details, and a cool campaign in the style of other 4x games.

This game pulls off something unique, though. It absolutely nails the feel of the 40k universe. The music sets the mood, the voice acting is decent, and the artwork in the cutscenes is phenomenal. Rarely too does victory feel easy, even against the AI. Every fight is a clash of completely different playstyles, every battle a fight against the unknown.

I'd say more but I've got to go conquer the Cadia system. For the Emperor!

My personal favorite of 2018. You get to kill rats, and bloated diseased humans, so I guess that's a big addition from the first game. There's nothing quite like jumping around like Yoda gleefully hacking at Chaos warriors knees with the dwarf. What really got me hooked though was the sound design and the customization of the characters they added this time around. The sounds are eery, the music is jarring and epic and dark, and the dialogue, while not super deep, is pretty funny.

My only real complaint is that the game could have had a better story, fairly linear and whatnot, although I understand that's not the point of the game.

I'd give this game 9/10 mayflies.

Great game, really innovates on the RTS genre. I like the company heroes a ton, but I never thought a Dark ages themed type of game would be so good. This game really delivers. Its arguably the most cinematic RTS I've ever played, and the sound, music, and graphics are just beautiful and fit the theme really well. The art style for the campaign and cutscenes is AAA quality, and along with the music reminded me a lot of the Witcher 3.

The multiplayer is a lot of fun (especially with friends), and the campaign is solid and satisfying. My only complaints with the game are about historical accuracy, but my gripes on that are minor in comparison to how fun the game is.

Overall, I'd give this a 9/10, I hope they keep new content coming and I think it'd be great to see some sort of Crusades or Mongol themed factions. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

So at first, I was of the opinion that this game wasn't nearly as good as Civ 5 completed. The art style was cartoony, the AI was trash, and I didn't like the UI. It's grown on me, however. Civ 6 by itself is far more complete than Civ 5 was in its beginning stages, and I feel like with the rise and fall expansion and the other civilization DLC's, this game has exceeded my expectations for Civilization should be. I'd give it a solid 9.5/10

Step 7. Go to fight, turns out he's some really ugly mutated guy idk

In all seriousness though, I was pretty skeptical about Warhammer Total war on release. I had dabbled in the 40k stuff, but never was a fan of Warhammer Fantasy. I thought moving away from historical stuff was a mistake. Boy was I wrong. This game is absolutely fantastic. Different factions with wildly differing play styles, interesting lore and characters, and a polish that the last several total wars had severely lacked. This is quite easiliy the best total war since Medieval 2, and possibly better than that. Wish I hadn't waited 2 years to get this gem.

I'm pretty new to ARPGs as a genre, but this game drew me in from the beginning with the grim dark almost 40k-esque world. Once I started playing, I enjoyed hunting for the lore of the game, and the world is extremely interesting once you start looking into everything. Monsters are varied and difficult on occasion, and the armor and weapons your character can wield are pretty freakin awesome.

And apparently the devs are very devoted to the game and plan to continue releasing quality expansions and content. I'm very happy with this game.

9/10 would definitely slay monsters again and win awesome loot.
