yeah, progression is screwed at time of writing, but even in beta its amazingly fun, stable, good SA servers, quick in and out matches, and again, free. No reason not to try it.

Its guitar hero but for piano, with a kighthearted puzzle game in its world.

This is basically superhot endless mode fleshed out and turned rougelite. Its divided by "nodes", groups of arenas you have to beat without loosing all your life, and you advance to the next node. Every couple arenas you get a perk (there are a ton of them, think of them like buffs for your abilities).
So yeah, you get an arena from a pool (the arenas don't change), random spawn locations for everything and everyone, and off you go, kill off some reds and go up the node chain, get more skills, more perks, and that's about it.
The game works well, its very fun (just don't binge it or you WILL get burnout), and will last you a bit.
Perfect if you loved the first superhot gameplay loop and want more, with randomness to keep it fresh (but no handcrafted levels). If Superhot 1 did not hook you in, then this one won't either.

Almost flawless, if a little obtuse in the exploration (But that is metroidnavia for you, not a negative, gotta know what you are getting into).
Everything has so much love put into it, and I know that phrase gets thrown around a lot but in this game it shows.
For the price its an absolute steal, it could cost double and it would still be a steal.
And it got 4 free dlc.
Seriously the price is just too cheap for what you get.
If you were ever slightly interested in what a metroidnavia game is, buy it.
If you know what metroidnavia is and want one of the most polished versions of what it CAN be, buy it.

Amazing, fun, and very simple. Great with music. There is real love put into this, and you can feel it. Worth it, no-brainer

Truth is, this game is fat better than i expected it to be. I thought i was getting this chill mining experience where i got cute furniture and made a happy home for my npc friends.
I got a giant eye tearing my limbs, over and over, until I could finally kill the mofo, and that is just the start. The game is gigantic, and when you think you are about to finish it, BAM! you get hardmode, wich goes a little overboard with the "hard" part, but brings SO much contnent to the table, you cant help but accept this abusive love-hate relationship.
Get it, its very cheap for what it gives you, and its just very very fun
