Ahh, the zone.

How i missed it. To be honest, after 2012, i thought this game will never see the light of day. And yet there it is, beatiful and dangerous.

At the start i need to point out that, i managed to upgrade my pc during my playthrough. So, i will talk from perspective of weaker gaming laptop and newer pc.

And boy, this game i rough on older stuff. For five years i had my msi gaming laptop with rtx 2070, overheating bastard, but he did the job. I was worried about stalker 2 and it's requirements, and yeah, it just wouldn't cut it, to a point.
This game wasn't made for weaker gear, and i felt it, thankfully mods managed somewhat to, rectify certain problems.
But, mods can't fix your gear, so at mid game, just before boss fight, game became unplayable. It lagged, crashed and was overall, unplayable.
That said, i will now say some positive things about this game, mainly its fun.
Story wise, without spoilers, it's stalker. On your own, trying to move around some groups, fisnish missions, explore, find artifacts, basically, f around and find out.
There are returning characters from earlier games such as scar and strelok, but also fun favorite, sidorovich.(He sold me rubber bullets.)
Needless to say, there are some characters to talk to but here's the big one, this story isn't like the chosen one to save the world( like every story in new games nowadays, or like in skyrim).
No one cares about you, you are just another wannabe big shot in the zone, and boy let me tell you this, i love it.
Gameplay wise, it's something, that many AAA gmaes struggle to make, a good gameplay loop.
Zone is huge, so you will run, ALOT, so get your best running shoes. While running you might find spots to find items of intrest, Artifacts, basically, items that buff you but at the same time give you radiation poisioning. They are also an item of intrest, which means you can sell them for big sum of cash. While we are at it, lets talk money.
Couple ways of earning it. Mainly through side quests or selling items. Which i practically never did much outside the artifacts. Side quests, even now, are not worth the effort, you will earn just enough to buy yourself some ammo or supplies and thats it. The best way to earn money is through artifact hunting. Thats it. Plus the cool down on those side quest is just not practical. I want to work sidorovich, I NEED MONEY, LET ME WORK.

Going back to the loop, Running finding artifacts, and shooting.
I forgot how it feels to play a good shooting game. It very good, in some areas better than COD.
Shooting overall is feels realistic. You have recoil, multiple ammo types, upgrades to weapons, and boy, there are some weapons. You have also access to attachemnts, that can drastically improve your combat effectivness. Silencer, magazines, scopes, underbarrel attachments(granade launchers, underbarel shotgun). However, i do find lack of certain attachemnts for certain guns to be rather annoying, like lack of proper sight for the ak 74, im not talking about PSO 4X, im talking cobra sight, something for short range.
We also have armor, light, medium and heavy.
To be frank we can talk about armors at least for 15 to 30 minutes so i will keep it brief.
They have stats, Thermal resistance, radiation resistance. electric, biological and phisical.
There are no equal armors but the best one for majority of the game is SEVA-D, D stands for Duty one of the faction in this game.
So, running, shooting, artifact hunting and of course factions. And boy, they do fall flat in this one.
I never saw, freedom fighting duty, most of the time it was mutants or bandits, or worse, certain bad people.
I wasn't intrested enough to care and let alone to interact with said factions to begin with.
It's just bad. But not as bad as A-life before 1.1 patch.
A-life was in Stalker, the most cherished thing in a game. It basically simulated life around zone, gunfights, mutants fighting each other, stalkers fighting other mutants/ stalkers, it was fun. But now. Let me tell you this. it was as bad as police on the release of Cyberpunk 2077. Jesus, i mean JESUS, i almost stoped playing it because, it got to the point, where i was running away from bloodsucker only to have patrol of bandits spawn behind me. It was bad.
Frankly its now somewhat fixed, but still needs improvments.
So, broken A-life(now somewhat fixed), running, shooting, hunting for artifacts, meh factions, what else is to talk about. A yes.
THE ZONE ITSELF OR HERSELF.
Boy she is huge, it takes a while to run through. Plenty to see, including some old locations such as army wherehouse, cordon, garbage, radar, but also some new or reworked areas, such as zaton jupiter, swamps(hate them), pripyat, rostok, while adding some new ones, like malachite, cooling towers, duga.
It's bigger than the old one, by much. With in the future, more location will be expanded and added.
That said, i felt something wrong with them. You see, earlier locations such as cordon lesser zone and zaton felt huge, while end game locations, felt small, like jupiter. Jupiter was added in Stalker, call of pripyat, and it was my favorite location, now it's just a fragment of what it once was. Made me sad. End game locations are smaller than starting one and mmid game ones. Which just bothers me.
Game itself isn't hard or unforgiving, you have access to plenty of recources, medkits food, you need to just look around.
At the end game, i had access to so many medkits that it made me a millionarie.

So that was gameplay. What about the story. It's fine if you ask me, they gave away majority of it in the trailer. But endings, we need to talk about them, and choices that lead to them.

Now little spoiler, just a heads up.
Most of the choices, dont have inpact on the narrative. So why there are choices in the first place. Choices do need to matter, or not i suppouse. However, at the end run, you can make a choice that will impact your ending. So now they matter and not 5h ago. Still, endings are the most stalker thing ever. Why, because there are no good endings or bad. Just endings. You can choose what happens to the zone.I will end at that.
After patch 1.1, game is now in better shape, better rewards for missions, less anomalies(bugs) and better working A-life.

Even though it's been more than a decade since last stalker, this game still has the same spirit like the original which is impressive after all this time.

It's still has a way to go but, it had better launch than CP2077 back in a day.
I highly recommend this game, mind one thing though, for old pc, it will take its toll.

Have a nice day.

Early Access Review
Satisfactory is a base building, open world and managment game. As a worker of interstellar company it's up to you to settle a new factory on this new alien world. With plenty to discover, your main objective is to build the factory. Game is still in early access however, i personally didn't encounter any game breaking bugs. You can say that it's factorio in 3d which isn't so far from the truth. Yes you need to establish basic production lines, but at the same time you need to make progress on your access level to unlock new buildings etc. But you don't have access to guns, unlike in Factorio, you mainly will produce "safe" things. Planet is also full with alien life, some you can pet, some docile, some very agressive and plants. In my opinion if you are intrested in things that are similar to factorio but in 3d, you will have a lot of fun.
